@@wrongfootmcgee You are one of only a small few in the comments who actually had the confidence and willpower to call out all of these naysaying echo chamber comments as a result of the toxification of social media. Thank you for doing your part to attempt to educate, despite the countless attempts impatient and reactive people try at tearing others down for no reason because THEY are the ones themselves who don't understand. The world is becoming Idiocracy (that movie from 2006 I'm sure you know) that was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual, yet some commenters hiding behind their screens and keyboards can't even have the patience to press pause in a solar oven video instruction manual, but yet they STILL have the toxic energy and salty nerves to type something as a negative REACTION in the comments instead of a positive INTERACTION. If people have no patience to even learn patience, they will never be able to learn anything in today's instant gratification world of mass conglomerate internet media controlling the dopamine levels of humanity on a second-by-second basis. Many are now unable to even break free of the groupthink because the dopamine addiction is so high that it renders them unconscious to any alternative method of thinking outside their own opinion, so they just mirror the closest opinion of whatever they last liked or read on the internet in the comments. Social media really can get to be a cesspool in the comments, yet only a few people will end up reading this comment because TL;DR: (Take the L for those of you who don't have the patience to read.) Put rocks, or 1gallon bottles of sand or water in your solar oven during the Winter, Spring, or Fall to heat your home. Bring them in when they are saturated with the maximum temperature of your oven each one or two hours and replace with a new set of bottles or rocks until the sun goes down. Gear up with larger rocks or to 2.5 gallon bottles of sand or water and use several solar ovens during the day for more heat. When the rocks, or 1 gallon or 2.5 gallon bottles reach maximum temperature of your oven and fully saturated with heat bring them into your home. You can heat many rocks, 1 gallon bottles or 2.5 gallon bottles throughout the day to maximum temperatures in most solar ovens when turned every hour toward the sun. Sand seems to work best for me and is less messy but hot water is good too to bath and do dishes. -- J.E. Ante.

Several years in my science class in middle school I taught my students how to build and bake with solar. We baked/cooked many different foods. We had a solar bake-off. The kids had so much fun working with a partner or in a group and reading about different ovens. Each group designed their own oven and presented it to the class. We had so much fun eating in class (12-14 year olds!)

Let him make the thing quickly so we can see the process and THEN let him explain what he did with the time left. We'll understand what he is telling us because we just saw him make it. Yes, it will be awkward with silence, but, maybe play some background cook music or something while the guy glues it all together, anything better than hearing her ask every second and what are you doing now? I thought the host was excellent and a demo on tv is always rushed - especially in these types of shows. Time management is real and is a foreseeable problem for producers>hosts. Tbf it sounds like the host was acting as producer as well BUT she saw something that was beneficial to the average person by turning a negative into a positive and then ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING. Stop hating on that! Plus it's not upstaging since the guest LOVED that he inspired someone!

100%, I like your positive enthusiasm and motivation, haters will hate because they see someone who was maybe at the top of her class who also found a great husband. At 4:41 you can REALLY hear the enthusiasm in Chris' voice that he inspired a family to do an amazing job on their own with some good thoughtful engineering. Television programming is from a different time now, especially when dated videos are viewed by people who watch YT videos on the internet as their primary source of media content and exposure to the world. The lack of patience in favor of making more MONEY (television time constraints, consuming more products, YT ads...) instead of using common materials we have all around us to solve some of the most basic daily puzzles like utilizing the power of our wonderful sun for FREE. The tension is so high in comments sections now, it's really unbelievable... You can see in all the comments everyone has it backwards and they're all just mistaken, because their communication and lack of patience has failed their ability to reason. Enlightenment through knowledge is painful and powerful all at the same time, isn't it? To all those on the internet who misunderstand simple interactions such as this: Stop commenting so negatively in the comments and pause the video if you need more time. Find another YT video. Do SOMETHING other than negatively comment, like build the dang solar oven instead of just typing complaints. Don't get so heated that you get burned. (Pun intended, but also serious: ) 🌞 Glow internally from the power of the sun. Get your vitamin D from the sun's UVB rays (or supplementation if you live too far north). 🏞️ Touch grass (aka the [electrical] ground), get your Earth physiostatic grounding so you're not so depressed. Find some trees or a park or something. (🖼️ If you're too far away from anything like this, why? Are you happy where you are?) 🎭Have a bit more PATIENCE, OPTIMISM, and TOLERANCE (maybe build a solar oven in the process) and we can all improve our healthy energy consumption WHILE learning better communication skills AND more meaningful relationships ALL at the same time. Haters gon' hate. Watch, grow, and learn, haters. ✌️😎👍 [Sunglasses on cause it's sunny outside here, and the sun gives LIFE and enLIGHTening moments to those who accept it's warmth...]
