May I suggest it is not those how do not read the bible but instead those who fail to dwell in the secret place of the most high continually are the easiest to deceive. The Secret parable Mysteries of the bible are revealed in the Secret place of Prayerful Meditation Daily to All People of every Race and religion. God does not need a book to reveal the secrets of the universe but what He does need is a anointed Soul = mind to Hear God's thoughts that leads to Godly Character that manifests to the World the Loving Kindness and Faithfulness of the Creator.

@@NFTeve Dear one you are correct because the bible is only a manual that can add is helping a person understand how they are fearfully and wonderfully made but the substance is knowing your self and how you are formed and function on the inside. Very few church going Christians even know what the Greek word Christian means because they have been indoctrinated with Church religious insanity Christianity. In reality every human being is a little Jesus at physical birth and must be Christened with Divine Consciousness to become a mature Son or Daughter of the Most High Creator's. Even The Jesus of the Bible did not become Christ = Anointed until He was around 30 years of age. Meaning of Christian = Christ = Anointed and Tian= little literally means little or Child anointed one. The Bible is a spiritual book in physical form and it is no different than any man written Religious Holy book because they all contain the same mystery of the Human Body's Creation, Function and Purpose. Every Human being is there every own Kingdom, Temple, Priest. Prophet and most of all Sacrifice. Ever bible story is about you and your Scrip you are playing out as you grow into maturity day by day. True Scripture = Your-scrip written in your very own personal DNA at Birth which contains your personal Book of Life. My grandma became a Christian at 12yo. She went to my church for 30 years. A church that had very solid theology. HOWEVER, they never targeted wrong beliefs or thought that anyone in our church could have had them. When my grandma was dying, she was terrified. Because she believed that she hadn’t done “enough” for God. Her friends in that church also told her that her time wasn’t up yet because she “had more to do.” It came out around then that she watched Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen everyday. I also remember now that she had a copy of The Secret that no one ever pointed out as false to her. Even once she died, her friends attempted raising her because they didn’t think it possible. This situation really galvanized in me at 19 that this wasn’t the truth of the gospel. So in a morbid way, I’m grateful for having watched it happen.

My wife’s dad recently lost his wife to cancer and both were Assembly of God/Pentecostal. Their church had a heavy focus of pray it and claim it, prosperity, and a belief that if something bad happens you didn’t pray hard enough. Which has lead her dad, at 70+ to go through a bit of a crisis of faith. Thankfully my wife and I have been going through a bit of a relearning phase of our faith. It’s a delicate balance of trying to explain to him that, pain and suffering is a part of this life. Explaining that we worship at the feet of a God who died a horrific death of pain and suffering. That Paul’s life was a testimony to this, and even with his steadfast faith, lived a life of imprisonment and suffering: while at the same time, being devoted to Christ. It’s a slow go, but these concepts of “become a Christian and life will be perfect” do more damage than good.

That tipped him off that something was very wrong and he started to go through other books that he had that were New Age and could suddenly see how wrong it all was. My parents separated when I was very young, so I didn't always have him around as a child and I was very agnostic until my dad told me that he had become a born-again Christian. Then I read the book about how the couple had gone to a medium, a show with a lady like Long Island Medium that told them of things no one could have known. So Esther and Jerry really wanted to learn more about it and scheduled a one on one session, and Jerry was not as in tune as Esther was, anyway, she learned how to Channel Abraham… or a collective of entities on the other side. The major problems with so-called Christians is that they do NOT read the Bible first themselves. They listen to others who have ulterior motives and who manipulate them into taking certain stances. The Bible answers lots of questions about things that are happening but most people will reject those answers. Why? The answers don’t line up with what the televangelists charlatans say. Hence the deception. It should not be strange. When the disciples asked Jesus about the signs of the end times, the FIRST thing Jesus talked about was deception. *“Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error].”* Matthew 24:4 AMPC If that isn’t what is happening today, then nothing in the Bible is true.

And the level of biblical illiteracy in Christendom today I’m sure grieves the Lord. This video also brings to mind 2 Timothy 4:2-4: “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”

Yes yes yes. I have been thinking on your ophra video. It’s so strange that like you, I became a Christian then got led from really getting to know my saviour by wrong doctrine--which I now know was no ones fault but mine because I never read His book. I went to church and listened to tidbits of the bible but even the churches ,and I attended a few in my search for something I just felt wasn’t right, never preached the whole Christ....just the fuzzy soft teddy bear Christ. But something deep in me( the Holy Spirit... and can I just say... Thankyou Lord for your spirit...) kept poking me that so much of all I heard around me that always sounded so uplifting andChristian just kept souring my insides. Then God just pushed me to the wall and I felt I just had to read the bible and I did... again and again. And wow! Then I started to have the scales fall away. But You gave me words I could use to describe the spiritual darkness that covers over most church’s and when I open Pinterest and read some cute uplifting but spiritually wrong sayings I smile and say “thankyou my dear”

I told myself, "if this is true, it will destroy my worldview and my presumptions, and I must face it and not flinch mo matter how unpleasant." And the Lord certainly wrecked me with the truth and I love Him for it. Over the years of being with the Lord and getting to know Him, through Scripture and His Spirit and life; I have learned that many people who are revered or looked up to, who give speeches and grandiose advice and write books on these vague spiritualisms...... Know absolutely nothing, especially not of the Lord, and make up the most delusional nonsense. But more amazing yet, has been to see the masses of people who smile and nod and embrace their delusion. It is no wonder that Israel ran after the Baalim.
