It cost me my job once because I was hesitant to adapt to a new technology. If you are on bench be prepared to find another job soon or you will be laid off soon. In my next job, I somehow survived in the bench for six months without work, then got into a project later. Back then, when I was young, I had plenty of job opportunities. If you are a senior employee with over 12 years of experience, the layoff may be more painful.

I have a question. If my manager has purposefully asked me to resign by setting unrealistic expectations in the form of PIP and if my client is another country is not aware of all these....How will I inform my client about it?

I am waiting to be laid off since I need a push to advance sometimes. I am sure not as happy as i used to be with my job, especially since they have outsourced half the team and we constantly have to train new people that seem to rotate in the outsourced team.

First and foremost thanks for the content and insights. I've been laidoff even without being on PIP as said by the management as I'm not upto the mark. If in that case atleast a chance of PIP would be appreciable but at every month end some people from teams has faced layoffs. How can we take this situation and move forward for better opportunities? could I've your suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

Hi I have recently switched. I gave all the details ( pan,uan)properly during joining but still I find that they have given a wrong pan in my payslip. I raised a ticket and though it's not solved yet, can it effect me in future? I am really tensed😕

Hi mam I was working in company X And absconded from company After 3 months due to heavy work pressure and bad politics in office After 10 days HR sent me mail stating that u Need to pay money of 1 lakh because of training fees according to offer letter But I haven’t signed any employee ment bond nor I have pf esi account . Will they take any action in future mam?

Mam yesterday I gave an interview for Network Support profile, everything was going good but suddenly interviewer asked me that "Why your Acedemics are so low? My confidence went down and i had no answer to that. What should I do now.

Dear Abhishek, please train your mind not to get affected from these questions, just confidently say, "I was little distracted at that time, was not sure where I wanted to make my career, but now I am well researched have put effort to figure out what I wish to do in my career, so here I am exploring the opportunity".. Always remember, marks related questions are not going to decide result of your interview, you have to be confident.. less marks doesn't mean you have committed any crime.. just take the ownership and reply.. In my opinion if your interview was good technically, marks related question will not affect the final result.

Hello mam I m married and I have gap of 7+years I wna a work again before marriage I have n 4 years of work experience in bangalore after leaving job I searched one year for job but I didn't get job then I was back to my native here my parents were not allow to do job because of marriage later after three years I got married and me and my hubby both together were only 3 years but my hubby is not taking care of me he is ready leave me and I dnt have kids and he is not allowed to work when I was with him but now I have to lead my life and stand my own so I will search job but in interview about gap how could I explain this I m not getting please tell me

Dear Aman, I won't say they are fashionable, its just that they try to be "presentable" and its true for everyone who steps out of the house, we all try to be presentable whenever we go out anywhere.. In corporate its a professional setting so people try to be little more formal, which might give illusion of fashion but its actually just looking neat and put together..

No dear, its very normal, employees do that, but if your company has "zero tolerance" policy on watching YT, then they will take a action.. in your case chances are nil, as if there was such a policy, you would have got notice then and there..

Dear Sachin, Aptitude test just a screening step, its not done to check your capabilities on the job, its done to screen out max number of candidates, so that at the end, managers have to interview less candidates.. thats all.. every year thousands of students apply to a particular company, its just not practical for them to interview all of them.. so they break the process in steps.... I understand your pain point, but I am just making you aware of the process.. and its very basic rule.. If tomorrow you get thousand applications for 1 position, you will do the same thing.. So the solution is apply to companies where applicants are not in thousands, there you will not find aptitude test, you will be interviewed directly. Theses are small organisations, lesser known.
