I absolutely fell in love with Turin on a 2022 visit. I went back in 2023 for 2 weeks and walked the whole city. The romantic and cultured feel of the city is not to be missed. I keep an eye on the air quality from time to time. Alba is another gem.

Turin is on my Top 5 retirement destinations, but glad to see Asti made the list. Asti is a beautiful town steeped in history, architecture, and amazing food and wine. Thanks, Giorgio! Also, I've seen the majority of your videos and would be disappointed if you didn't have Turin in the number one spot.

Many thanks Mike. Turin was my number one place to buy property in Italy for the year 2023.

Piemonte has no coastline, but you mean Liguria which is close to it. ☺

What do think about San Giorgio Monferrato, Province of Alessandria, Italy? Thank you
@saveandinvestwithgiorgiolo83757 ай бұрын
Personally I think most people would consider a little too small of a place to live however property prices are incredibly cheap.

Is there a quiet section of Turin with mostly historic residential villas where you can have the feel of a smaller town while also being in a walkable distance to the major attractions?
@saveandinvestwithgiorgiolo837510 ай бұрын
I think the Crocetta district could work.

I'm from Asti and I know Turin very, very well. Beside Crocetta I would recommend all the neighbourhoods east of the Po River commonly known as Precollina and Collina. This is where you find Turin's hills. Namely, the area called Crimea and the streets around piazza Hermada are slow-paced places lined up with historic buildings and villas shroud in a town-feel atmosphere. They're both within 15-20 minute-walk from the very central Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Most units in this area have centralized heating so be aware. AC is not a given so once again look for a unit with at least 5 standard sized windows.
@saveandinvestwithgiorgiolo83759 ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. Good point on the centralized heating. I must do a more detailed video on what to look out for when buying property in Italy such as centralized heating system v independent heating system (The latter is usually better) and what floor you should buy on (most Italians do not like buying ground floor apartments)

Being the region of Piemonte you obviously have a winter so if your seraching for winter sun this is not the region of Italy for you. Turin has had a problem with air quality but is improving.

That whole region (Piedmont) has the absolute worst air pollution in Italy, and among the worst air quality in all of Europe. Turin and the other cities you mentioned, have that issue as a big negative.
