I mentioned that to them a few days ago. If you would be so kind to share Trailmater videos and those people subscribe, then we need to get Rory to 500k subs by the time he gets married in October. He would be extremely grateful for that kind of support, and it would make a great wedding present from his fans.
@alfonslemel57456 ай бұрын
It takes more than subs, it also requires eyeballs per video and the length of time those eyeballs view the content - hence the clickbait tactics and strategic editing many channels employ with hyped titles and thumbnails designed to encourage this. Offering free recoveries in exchange for being filmed is another tactic. Some other off road channels are no longer primarily recovery companies, they have morphed into $youtube$ content outfits. Personally, I'm not into rock crawling - many aren't - so I feel that the difficult Moab terrain per rescue which necessitates this is limiting engagement with a wider audience. I watch for the banter and scenery - not the underside of trucks caressing the rocks. :)
@scuss26 ай бұрын
@@alfonslemel5745 Sometimes I have to turn down the volume as I too get tired of the noise but love the scenery and as you say the banter. This channel isn't fake, It's not "Hollywood" it's real, raw footage. It's not scripted. Rory helped a local Moab Tour Company twice last year with their Hummers. I went to their site and read their disclaimer. All I can do is watch the videos, I can't even be a passenger in the tour or other rigs because of my spinal disability. Casey Ladelle has a few videos on how You Tube works, and it works well for him, and every day is a new experience. Their employment is hard work then their You Tube employment is also hard work. For me and probably others, You Tube is our entertainment. Some days I'm on You Tube 15 hours a day, 1st with my subscribed content and then You Tube recommendations. Just wished I knew at an earlier age when You Tube was another self employment opportunity.

Those lower arm retaining studs on the 80 Series are often “misunderstood” by some, they have collets which fall out wage the nuts come loose and drop off, and folks forget or don’t know to replace them. My old 80 has them doused in locktite and they’ve never come loose in almost 600k km. Love my 30 year-old 4.2 diesel 80 though, like a child. 🤣❤️🇷🇴

Hey Rory, since your Big D rides like my Big Dorf can you put those "liquid Shocks" on the truck to maybe make your ride a little softer? How about some air ride bucket seats? 12:54 2 fencing staples and 3 nails. Someone musta removed the "Beware of Bears sign"? 13:12 nice flowers Mike. Any plant with clusters of 3 leaves, well, they are nice to look at, but I won't touch them. I have seen the flower before but don't know the name. As always, your commentary and advertising of the areas around Moab, nice views. If people get tired of the party animals in the rock crawling parks there is peace and quiet in the mountains. I finally figured out what an Off Road rollback is, I have one in my backyard but without a winch on the front. Duh! LOL!

Hey Rory I know you're a big tough guy I loved watching your show because I love watching the truck you built, Tow Mater. Seeing your other trucks is great but towMater is the reason I watched your shows from the start. Love the show, just love tomater more than any of the other trucks. I'm a recovery specialist myself and that truck is very impressive and I learn a lot from you while you're using that truck and that means a lot to me. For reference Rory, Mike and Shawn, when the gas light comes on in the fj80's they still has 5 gallons left, so approximately 50 miles on paved roads. Just a tad of info to remember when needed. The gasoline models all hold 25 gallons in the primary tank. Auxiliary tanks are slowly becoming more common, but oem is what you'll typically find. Also, bumper bolts are a trail fix of someone loses a front caliper bolt. @Rory
