who is gonna tell him that gravity on mars is just a little weaker than earth not so weak it makes you floaty ?? edit : actually gravity does not matter in floatiness as long as there is a atmosphere your density compared to environment and thus floatiness or sinking will.depend on that and not on gravity

Imagine thinking I don't understand how gravity works lol.... Also your not quite correct there, you would be quite "floaty" on Mars. Has nothing to do with the atmosphere, pretty much the only real effect the atmosphere has is drag. Drag has extremely little effect at lower velocities on things shaped like humans, so unless you are like jumping off buildings or something on Mars, the atmosphere has zero effect on how much gravity you experience (and even then it's going to be a pretty tiny amount in a thin atmosphere like the one on Mars). The density difference between the human body and the atmosphere of pretty much any planet in the solar system (and 95% of celestial bodies in general) is going to make the effects your talking about pretty much entirely negligible in any application. The closest thing to what your describing is air density and convection, like less dense gases getting pushed upwards by denser gases and such. Or maybe terminal velocity as that is decided by atmospheric density, which is the exact reason return capsules need heat Shields since they come into the atmosphere muchhhhhh faster than terminal velocity and have to slow down via drag. But yea, the atmosphere has extremely little impact overall on how gravity is experienced, that is purely based on the mass of the object causing it. Since Mars is only about 15% of Earth's mass, it has drastically reduced gravitational forces, hence the "floatiness". (The weaker gravity is also a major reason as to why Mars has such a thin atmosphere, but thats another conversation entirely.)

Not replacing, but they have their own strengths, which I like to bring attention to! They can be played without modding the game, which makes them very convenient for multiplayer since people don't have to change their game installation to be able to play. They are also generally more approachable then modding, though often times can be more convoluted to make than mods, especially if you are making something particularly complex. Datapacks are by no means "better" than mods, but for the right situations, they can be a better choice!
