Very solid car parrot I've always been fascinated to shape of the rear glass and how it continues into the deck lid of the trunk.

It’s got an interesting rear glass that’s for sure!

Cool car. Never really took to them . And I’m Mopar guy . But this one changed my mind. I like the red on the top of the hood and fender. I paint roof same red. Sand more on door tops and rear tops. Match green and paint door in. Then mat clear whole deal. Job done. But do it fast before winter kicks in. Get it sealed. Good luck. Thanks for video. 👍👍

Right on those are some great ideas! I’m thinking a dark brandy wine metallic for the roof with some lace kinda old school and keep the rest as is. Then some old school super stock lettering and a hemi scoop.
@Doggymcdoggy6643 ай бұрын
@ sounds great. You could do that in a weekend and get it sealed for winter. I don’t know about the lace. It’s getting old style now. Maybe racing number on the roof. See it from the stands. 😂 sand more on the door rear fender tops. Maybe Chequer bourd roof. Good luck. Get it sealed it would be good content. 👍👍✌️

Thankfully down here it won’t snow. If I need the room inside I’ll put it out under the barn so it’ll stay dry. I’m glad you like it thanks for watching 🤙

You need to find a different guru 64-66 Barracudas came with slant 6's 273 2bbl 184/5 horse and 273 4bbl Commando , 4 speed and 904 autos . big block engines were never available in the first gen cars they became available in the 2nd gen Barracudas 67-69 !! Production numbers were 2970 for 273 4bbl 4v speed they made 9192 273 2bbl with no transmission noted ,so yours is one of 9192 ! Paint name is Citron Gold !!

I owned a few old Dodges. 68 barracuda red black interior 318. I really didn't like it much. Then a 68 cornet copper with white and black interior beautiful ride again a 318 only a couple of years old when it was destroyed. Nothing but parts. Then my best Dodge was my 68 Fargo white and red exterior red cab inside a Tweed head liner. Black door panels and dash with a dash mounted 3 speed auto shifter with a 383. Man I drove that truck daily for over 15 years 3 kids and a wife. Lol. Man I would love to own that again..

Sounds like some cool rides! The truck sounds beautiful! I like the 68 barracuda I think they’re sharp! The 66 is smaller and lighter which will be awesome for performance.

Cool project! Always liked these cars. I have a friend who's Dad bought a 67 formula S 383 4 speed car brand new. They both drove it to high school! Graduated in 1987 and he still has it! It is absolutely mint and has ALWAYS lived in a garage. Factory color for yours I believe to be code "Z" Citron gold?
@323Fabrication3 ай бұрын
That’s way too cool! A factory big block with a 4 speed is something special. I love the fact that they still have it. I was thinking it was a gold but also has a beige look to it.

I got an 88k mile, '76 Valiant sedan from the original owner for $0- just had to promise not to strip or flip. Solid, V8, weirdly optioned. 1st thing with that '66- Dual pot master cylinder, convert to big-bolt, get ahold of Cas at Doctor Diff... My Valiant runs a warmed-over 318 (McCandless' personal machinist did an excellent job), 8.75" w/ 3.23 SG & 11.25" rotors, 12" rotors on front, 1 1/8" front bar, 7/8" Firm Feel rear bar, 1.08" torsion bars, Bilstein shocks, tweaked Borgeson box, full chassis stiffening...it's not a dragster, but it handles & brakes really well, respectable performer, can do the "Tail of the Dragon," long-haul TDS events, daily drive or runs to Home Depot with my heeler riding shotgun
@323Fabrication3 ай бұрын
I love it! That sounds like one sweet little Valiant. I found on marketplace a guy selling a 73+ duster K member with disks which would give me that big bolt pattern and better brakes. I found an 8 3/4 with the 3.23 and SG.... But he wants $1500 for it. I'm really hoping the Barracuda man might have a little better price than that. I'd love a 340 but I had a friend offer me a 318 for free which would be awesome with a little compression and a cam! I will go back with a 4 speed! I'll start collecting some parts for it, sounds like I'll try and build it like that killer Valient you've got!
@olikat83 ай бұрын
@@323Fabrication 100% the K-member won't work, the LCA I'm not 100% on- UCA & spindles are a great upgrade. '73-up disc cars use the same big wheel bearings on the spindles, the UCA's have the big ball joints. Other bonus' ? If you use the UCAs', grab a set of the Moog offset bushings. Install the front ones as per instructions, then reverse the rears. Why? Rocks the control arm a few degrees rearward, giving you more caster - important because the suspension & steering were engineered with bias-ply tires, so this trick gives you more caster to make use of the traction of radials. Also, another very simple upgrade. Get the calipers, caliper adapters, and rotors from a '76-up B or R body...it's commonly referred to as the "12" rotor swap," but technically, you're going from the A-body 10.75" rotor to the big-car 11.75" Take a look at "Doctor Diff" (brakes, axles, et cetera) and I can attest that Cas is a very good guy, great business to deal with. If you want to here about the 318 combo I run, just let me know & I'll let you know
@323Fabrication3 ай бұрын
Right on I had done some of that research and knew I only needed the uca, spindle, calipers and rotors but I figured he wouldn’t part it out. He wants $500 for the whole deal, idk if that’s fair or not. But I like that about the caster and it would be smart to rebuild it all while it’s apart anyway. I’d love to hear about the 318, Mr Steve offered me that one for free and another fella has a complete 67 coronet 318/auto set up for $300 that has accessories and everything I believe.
@olikat83 ай бұрын
@@323Fabrication $500 isn't terrible; I actually put the '73-up cradle in my A-bodies ('67-up) for the spool mounts & the sway bar mounting position. If it's all out, you could re-sell the K for about $150 in decent shape. My combo is the factory block the car came from, a 340 crank from a '70 engine, forged I-beam rods, KB pistons with the anti-scuff on the skirts, Total Seal rings, heads are the fast-burn 308-castings ('90 5.9L) with a little clean up work, new exhaust valves, springs matched to the cam, cam is 276/288 (lift is .441/.441) factory windage tray, double-roller timing chain. Factory casting & machining was trash. The deck sloped so bad, I had to buy 0.060" thick Cometic gaskets to get the compression down to 9.45-1. The crank had to have weight removed, with the rods & pistons being so much lighter, so Brian knife-edged the counter weights (hates drilling on them). It is balanced & blueprinted. Intake is an Air Gap with a 650 cfm Edelbrock. Exhaust is TBC headers, stainless exhaust with X-crossover & Different Trends stainless mufflers
@323Fabrication3 ай бұрын
@olikat8 sounds awesome! I dig the windage work on the crank. Have you run it at the track? I’d be curious to know an et on the car

I had a 65 barracuda formula S 273 solid lifter 4 barrel auto on the floor with counsel it blue with black interior it rusty floors they don't make floor pans for those cars I tabbed it bet then sold it I was going to put a 340 in I had from wrecked 73 Cuda.
@323Fabrication2 ай бұрын
That sounds like an awesome car! Formula s 273 4-barrel would have had a 8 3/4. And the 340 is a great motor!
