A cruel trade is tearing baby orangutans from their jungle homes to be sold abroad.
We get a smuggler’s story - and meets the warriors risking their lives to save the great apes from extinction, and return them back to their jungle homes.

But these people give and bit of hope and I know from personal experience how sometimes the simplelist of kindnesses change a life dramatically. The government should introduce programs that will provide livelihood to the poor people so it deters poachers from greeting enticed to the illegal trade, that usually is the solution that effectively works for turning things around from illegal pet trade. Poachers turn to illegal trade because of the desperate measure to meet their needs.

I was really sad when the orangutan was released into the wild. I thought I would be really happy when the moment finally came, but it just made me question whether he should be released in the first place. Once they’re taken out of their habitat, that’s it it’s done, that life is over with so I think maybe these orangutans should never be released back into the wild. Some of the sanctuaries are very nice and I think that’s a perfect place for a lot of them to live their lives out

The 2 baby Orangutans huddled together in the video is so distressing , I can only imagine what they have been through to leave them in that state ( Mothers killed in front of them ).
