Saving Burrowing Owls From Invasive Iguanas. The burrowing owl is one of the smallest owls in Florida. Iguanas don't just damage property they also kick out endangered burrowing owls and eat their eggs. This is just one of the many issues with iguanas. I try my best to take these invasive iguanas out each and every day.

Those poor owls are threatened everywhere in Florida. In Cape Coral there are Nile monitor lizards eating the owls. Rats in other places. The gopher tortoises are threatened too because they live in holes.

I love burrowing owls! They’re adorable. Perry airport used to have lots of them in the grassy areas and they were protected on the BCC campus in Davie when I went there. Thank you for protecting them! Your the best 🦉

There are quite a few burrowing owls here in the high desert of NM. Preferred residences are prairie dog burrows. Really pretty little raptors. Thanks for trying to help them out there where you live, Good video

lake worth power company has been hit hard 2 times by iguanas. the last time the city of lake worth was without power for days because of these invasive creatures. the climb up in the power grids and wreck it. keep up the good work mike.

Here in Manitoba Canada we have a Burrowing Owl recovery program to try and bring the numbers back up. Here, it is mostly habitat loss. Those two were real snipers !

I remember seeing quite a few burrowing owls in northwest Broward County in the mid 2000s. So rare to see them. FAUs mascot, the fighting owls, come from burrowing owls. They have some on campus in a small protected nature area. Thanks python cowboy!
