Dear Robin, I have seen your beautiful comments before on this channel and I am heartbroken to hear about your situation having been in the hospital for a month and that you feel you are hanging on by a thread. I will be praying for you to recover! There are so many who love you! Eric survived his 10 hour surgery, which was more complicated than expected and the surgeon said that he could not have hoped for a better outcome. Now Eric is in ICU and his vital signs are stable but his condition is still critical. We are all hoping that he will be able to communicate by phone in a few days. Hello to all of Eric's subscribers, friends, and brothers and sisters, I wanted to give you another update: Five days after his heart surgery, he is doing well and the surgery was completely successful according to x rays and echocardiograms. He is sitting up, walking and doing exercises. The nurses are impressed with his stamina. He is off all medications they gave him at the time of surgery and he is off the strong pain killers, too. He hopes to be able to go home from the hospital in a couple more days. Our Heavenly Father has answered our prayers and we continue to pray that his recovery has no setbacks! He sends his love to all who are praying for him and he has greatly appreciated it!

@@jeoffwalden4492 Here’s a critical review of “Nailed” that is posted on “goodreads” by atheist Tim O’Neill: This is one of a number of self-published books along these lines that have appeared in recent years and one of several that has been written by a hobbyist who is also an atheist activist. While the idea that Jesus may not have existed is a perfectly valid one, there is a reason this position does not have any serious academic traction - it is very difficult to sustain without resorting to a lot of supposition and some highly contrived arguments. Unfortunately this writer's anti-religious agenda gets in the way of his objectivity, and I'm saying that as an atheist myself. The result is a work of clumsy amateurish polemic where the author's rhetoric far outruns his argument or even his grasp of the relevant material This book is a object lesson in the dangers of starting with an ideologically-based conclusion and working backwards to your argument. Fitzgerald tries to argue that no historical Jesus existed, but most of the book consists of arguing against the Jesus of the gospels, as though the two are necessarily the same thing. This means that many of his arguments may give some pause to Biblical literalists and fundamentalists, but anyone with a grasp of modern historical Jesus studies will be struck most by Fitzgerald's ignorance of the field and the naiveté of his ideas about who or what the historical Jesus probably was. Arguing that the gospels aren't eye witness accounts or that they contain historical errors might work as arguments against a fundamentalist Christian conception of Jesus (to an extent anyway), but leaves the Jesus of critical scholars entirely unscathed. Vast swathes of the gospels can potentially be shown to be utterly false, but this does nothing to show that there wasn't a historical Jewish preacher as the ultimate point of origin for the later stories. But Fitzgerald seems totally unaware of the work putting Jesus back into his Jewish context done by scholars like Ehrman, Fredriksen, Vermes, Sanders, Allison, Casey, Ludemann and many others, most of whom are not Christians. He does not seem to understand, therefore, that disproving the Jesus of a face-vaulue reading of the gospels doesn't constitute disproving a historical Jesus. The Jesus of the scholars noted above does not depend on the gospel accounts being substantially true at all. Over and over again Fitzgerald seems think that he is on the side of "critics who (dispute) Christian claims" who are battling against "Christian apologists". He doesn't mention and seems totally ignorant of the leading, non-Christian scholars who definitely "dispute Christian claims" (far better than he does, in fact) but fully accept the existence of a Jewish preacher called Jesus. As I reads this book I began to suspect that Fitzgerald's main source of information has been other atheist amateur hobbyists and activists, most of whom also dispute the existence of any historical Jesus. In fact, it reads very much like the work of a Creationist whose only exposure to evolutionary biology is second-hand, via the works of other Creationists. This could explain some of the blunders and weird omissions in the book. For example, while discussing the reference to Jesus in Josephus' "Antiquities" XVIII.3.4 he dismisses the idea that most of the passage is original to Josephus and was simply added to by Christians as a hopeful theory by "wishful apologists". In fact, it is the majority consensus of most modern scholars. I'm sure eminent non-Christian scholars like Bart Ehrman and Geza Vermes would be amused at being described as "wishful apologists" by this amateur hobbyist. Not surprisingly, he seems to have no knowledge of the Arabic and Syriac paraphrases of this Josephean passage, which provide strong evidence that it is original to Josephus and not a wholesale interpolation. Similarly, he makes a totally erroneous statement about Origen taking Josephus to task "for failing to mention Jesus in (his) book", while citing a reference to Origen where Origen actually *quotes* Josephus mentioning Jesus! And he is oblivious to the fact that this is one of *three* places where Origen directly quotes Josephus' reference to Jesus. This in turn undermines his claim that this reference by Josephus, in "Antiquities" XX.9.1, contains a Christian interpolation, since the supposedly interpolated words are found in all three references by Origen, who wrote too early for this to be an interpolation by Christian scribes. Fitzgerald's book is highly confused. He seems to be trying hard to undermine fundamentalist Christianity but leaves a more scholarly and nuanced non-Christian conception of the historial Jesus unscathed. His grasp of the material is shaky and some of his blunders with the Greek are simply funny. This book is one reason why self-published works by amateurs need to be treated with care, especially when they have an axe to grind. Praying that your surgery is successful and you will still be able to teach us with your videos. I quit the JW religion about 25 years ago after being a 3rd generation born in. I had no idea what I believed I just knew I couldn't stand the way I witnessed women being abused by their elder husband's. I spent all these years just waiting to die at Armageddon, as it had been ingrained in to me really well by my uber elder father. I only found out about 5 years ago that I wouldn't be struck by lightning if I looked up so called apostate sights. I woke up really fast after that. Hi Tequilla, I was a "born-in" JW. I was third generation on one side and (if you skip over one set of grandparents) fourth generation on the other side. Degradaion and emotional abuse was our "lot" as females inside the Watchtower empire. How far can a person go to please such greedy masters? Such sacrifice! Such humility! Another fantastic video, Eric! You definitely hit the nail on the head in regards to organized religion. I've come to realize that organized religions, particularly ones such as the JW's, make the cross WAY more difficult to carry than it needs to be. Jesus even said that his "load is light" and NOT burdensome. I noticed that after leaving the JW religion last year, my life has felt so much less weighed down and actually feel far more closer to Christ and God than I have ever felt in my life. Sure, life in this present order of things is going to have it's troubles, but I feel very much that by following exactly what the Bible teaches and not what men have made up is going to, overall, lead to a life of peace and free of unnecessary burdens, which is exactly the Father and Son want for us, even now. Even though you don't mind gaining through falling asleep in death, I feel that you should continue living so that my spiritual growth is sustained. For example, today I have understood the spiritual significance of Lazarus' death and resurrection. From a fleshly point of view, I have always put myself in the shoes of Lazarus' sisters and imagined the pain they felt, seeing their brother dyeing from his sickness. But today you awakened me spiritually. I pray that Jehovah carefully guides the hands of the doctor during the surgery and you will be back to help us answer the questions you have listed. JC, I know the relief you feel being freed of that grip that the WT held on your life and the lives of your family members. But, it is so wonderful to realize that we are all at the beginning of our eternal lives, we who are finding our freedom in Christ--away from organized religions that teach doctrines of men! Take heart and breathe the air of freedom with gratitude and such relief and don't feel guilty about raising your kids in the so called "truth." After a lot of Bible study and association with people who have left the organization, I deeply believe that people can only be freed from the plantation of WT slavery by means of the Holy Spirit! Thank you Brother Wilson for all the work you do. You are my favorite KZbin channel for exploring true Christian truth. I have had many of the same thoughts, opinions as you, in regard to Bible truth and letting the Bible speak for itself. I started studying the JW's in the 1960's and still to this day I am an active JW's, but I have been fading for the last few years. I truly started to have doubts about the Watchtower Society with the 1975 fiasco. I have been improving my Spanish, and after one more year, I should be pretty proficient in the Spanish language. Sorry for you loss of your wife, I also lost by second wife to breast cancer. I pray that your operation is very successful, and you continue to be a Watchman for all who truly love truth and desire to serve the Father and his son Jesus Christ and not mere imperfect sinful men. My grandmother died recently, and of course it makes me sad from time to time. As long as you trust in Jehovah and the power He bestowed upon his son.... Then there is absolutely no reason to fear death in this ugly system of things. There is so much death around us, such that there isn't even time to mourn....and remember.... Unless those days were cut short... No flesh will be saved. Especially if we have attained the age of 70....we have had enough of this rotten system of things. Who better can command us to Get Up!! from the memorial tomb than Christ himself? I hope for a very successful result from that pending surgery. But whatever the result; you have absolutely nothing to loose. All the best from the Caribbean.

Hello Maria, Yes, I have an update today. I am sorry to not respond earlier. Eric is doing very well. He is up walking many times a day from his hospital room. The nurses are very impressed. His chest x-rays are good. Hopefully he will be able to go home in the next few days. Love to you dear sister.

Thank you Eric for this topic and video my dad passed away 2 days ago this gives me comfort cuz I know he suffered a bit before he passed he caught covid he didn't get his vaccine and my sister kept telling him to go get it and he put it off I can only imagine what was going through his mind 😭

It is such a sad thing that people are refusing the vaccine, often on the basis of fake news from the internet, and when they do get COVID it is too late. But this is a malady of Mankind that goes back to the beginning of time. So sorry to hear about your father, but our heavenly Father will put all things right in his due time. Soon, I hope.

Hi Dissident Fairy, Eric is doing very well. He is walking half hour each day and getting stronger all the time! I hear that he will be making another short video sooner than later with a personal update and thank you to all the people who prayed for him. There is no site with updates on his recovery, but you can always pop into "Beroean Pickets" to get the latest news. beroeans.net/events/ There is an Eastern hemisphere group and a Western hemisphere group--one on Saturday and one on Sunday depending on where you live in the world. Eric stayed for a short while at the Sunday gathering (where we are currently reading the book of 1 Corinthians), and it was so great to see him! Wishing you well!

Thank u Eric, I hope your surgery is successful and u have a complete and painless recovery, your explanations and examples give a truer acceptable view of scriptures, I don't agree with existence as carnal, we have duty to preserve our existence, even to the point of disowning our self to follow Jesus day after day. Living our life belongs to us, but not existence. Peter was exceptionally strong in faith, when painfully dishonouring himself for God, to follow Jesus day after day. To suffer on torture cross, not sleep on it. Other examples in Bible. Be well.

Questions I have please if you can answer? Gen 13:1-4; Gen 13:5-13; Gen 13:14-18. Gen 14:1-16; Gen:17-24. Firstly, I like to read these scriptures I've sited above in the sections I've separated them in. Secondly, these scriptures have given me a whole new understanding of what actually happened with Abram and Lot his nephew. Thirdly, Sodom and Gomorrah were already conquered by the four Kings! Gen 14:1-16. Conclusion I now see and wonder why is in Gen 14:17-24 Why is Abram being blessed by the King of Sodom?

I have an update for you snuggle rocket! The surgery lasted over 10 hours. The surgeon found a few other problems that he inherited from his mother's side of the family. It made the surgery much more complicated, but Eric did survive! The surgeon said it was the most complicated surgery he had done in 21 years of being a surgeon but that the outcome could not have been better. Eric is still in critical condition in a Toronto hospital, but his vital signs are stable since he came out of surgery. The ICU nurses say we should not celebrate yet, but I think we should celebrate! The nurses are trained to say we need to just go hour by hour. I deeply believe our Heavenly Father and his Holy Spirit has been sustaining Eric, who is strong in faith and spirit and so needed as a spiritual brother of us all.

We will be praying for you our my beloved brother. We are okay with Christ since he is the appointed one by Jehovah. He will take us in to the tent of God . Jesus said that none of his beloved sheep will be destroyed. Revelation 7 ; 21:3,5; John 10:7-15. On the other hand paradise will be given to mankind when he returns to restore all things. Jesus always spoke about the future. He new that his God and father will send him back. John 20:17; John 6: 40 mention that he will resurrect his loyal ones in the last day. Acts 17:31; 24:25; John 5:28,29; the apostle Peter explained very clear when he got filled with God’s Holy Spirit in Acts 3:13-26. Take care brother.

@@shanebekker If I understand what you are concerned about, the cherubim do not have an angelic nature. And Jesus was the most prominent of God's messengers, which makes him an angel. And since we are preachers of the good news, we are also angels, and it is true that we do not have wings. Do I understand you correctly? What do you think an angel is? What does it mean to have wings when you are a spirit and therefore do not really have wings?
