Dixi and six other nearby villages in China’s eastern province of Jiangxi have been inundated by floodwaters from the nearby Yangtze River after it burst its banks on the afternoon of July 8, 2020. About 20,000 residents have been left without power and drinking water in just one of many areas that have been hard-hit by floods across large areas of China. In the nation’s central and southern regions, heavy downpours and flooding have gone on for weeks, so far affecting nearly 38 million people in 27 provinces, according to official figures. The extreme weather has been moving east along the Yangtze River to Jiangxi where flooding is now being seen along the river’s tributaries.

I hope everyone comes out more resilience. It has been a bad year for china, and a bad one for the rest of the world. It does makes you think about how our 'safe' world has changed so much, but not really for the better, as in nature has really seem out of 'balance'. Makes you think about if global warming is effecting our lives. Not for the better. We need to re-evaluate our lifestyles if we want to live on this planet. We have tough decisions ahead for humanity.

Many natural disaster back in 2011 was enough to scare everyone and also with people believing 2012 is the end of the world due to Mayan's calculation. These are occuring mainly due to the blockage of the gutter. When the water level of the nearby rivers or sea where the water is dumped are submerged in rain water then the problem occurs. Many a times if the gutter is covered up wiith the leaves or rubbishes of the streets tgen also this thing occurs.Water has a features to flow whatever direction it gets. In the mountain areas mosts of the landslide or flood tajes place due to this reason. If its require built up several ways for the river water to flow to the sea. Its required to clear the roads blockages specially opening of the bigger or main gutters which allows the water to flow easily. So two thibgs arises claning the gutters and opening of the pipes and flow of water easily throughout the process by allowing the flood water to flow easily to the river and then the sea. Thankyou.

The most lucky thing for those people is that I saw their houses are all 3-4 floors concrete building even in villages, floods may submerge the first floor and goods in it, but people can stay upper floor to avoid floods and have enough time to wait for rescue.

This happened last year at Fuzhou I was there but luckily our apartment was on higher ground which was safe! And we had shopping store on upper ground too! Somebody around there caught some kind of fish and sold it for 5000 won? I think it was a wawa yur
