I can't stress enough how important this is, there have been so many times that I think it's the end of the world if I lose even 1 battle or settlement, but you can always come back

BTW Legend for the first vow one of them is to successfully complete a hero action. Joining an army counts as a hero action so each turn you can just rejoin the army and in 5 turns you get the vow

@@stoopid6036 what's even worse is the one to be in a province when buildings are built doesn't seem to work. I have a paladin on my fey enchantress campaign I can't get vowed cuz I clicked the wrong one. I've tried everything, have him in the province, have him in an an army in the province, have him in an army garrisoned in the town that is building a building, and none of it has triggered progression.

To be fair it's Bretonnia. Being used to good infantry like High Elves/Dark Elves have plus good-ish cavalry and early game monsters then going to Bretonnia where your frontline routs in 1.5 seconds is very different.

What I wonder is: on the first turns you get the greenskins penalty, so you basically either play defensive or go for them. The only thing that could possibly have happened was that he either went straight for the greenskins, and marienburg fucked him up so he had to get smalls armies that got as well fucked by the revolts, also mousillon declared war somehow and also focused him while not giving a fuck about defending themselves from bordeleaux, and norsca also said yolo and came down. I think it basically was a conglomerate of fucking bad luck and being targeted by all the AI

I think bretonian infantry depends on its usage and its tier, whilst the mere peasant hordes and militias like men at arms do just give you a battle line, you do have some specialised infntry like the grail pilgrims, who can hold their own well enough and go against enemies who are particularly weak against magic damage. That been said, they are somewhat expensive and cheap trash infantry with a line of bowmen behind and a few trebuchets might be offering you more. Having cav in a separat army that follows up into battle might be the best way of using bretonia

9 defeats, I dont think most of my heroic campaigns ever end up with a total of 9 defeats. He manages a legendary start of 5-9, seems to be done on purpose to me.

Some people are better at the game than others. I never play on the hardest difficulty, myself, because I find it too challenging normally. For all you know, it could've been the guy's first attempt at that difficulty level. Any campaign I've tried on the highest difficulty I usually have several defeats early on. It's rather presumptuous of you to assume that this is fake.

Max level farm removes the income from your resource buildings since it counts as industry

Yeah my biggest gripe with brets is that the economic buildings make each other worse, well that and how lots of their tech to improve basic units is locked behind 30-40 turns of research while every other faction is getting +2 xp level, defense, and attack upgrades by turn 5 for their basic units.
