im already 33 with no savings or any emergency funds 😢 i have a lot of regrets.. on the things i did and things i didnt do.. i wish i would’ve started saving since i started working 10 years prior.. im in an existential crisis and i lost all of hope for the future.. i am seeing my friends having their own family, car, house, etc. like they already have their lives figured.. while here i am wandering around wondering what to do with my life.. but then i stumbled upon your videos and it somehow ignited something in me to start even if im already this old.. the way you said “it’s only too late when you are dead” gave me fuel to do what i can today and start something rather than nothing.. i hope and pray that i can make it.. and still make it somehow..

Same here. Don’t lose hope. It’s not to late to do those things. Ito po kasi ang problema sa atin mga Pinoy, kulang sa financial education but now madami ng content creator sharing ideas about finances. Hopefully, this year I’ll be able to reach my first goal “emergency fund” di man aabot sa 100k but still I am happy that I started it. Kaya mo yan, disiplina po talaga kailangan kung gusto mo ma reach yung goal mo in life and don’t forget to pray and thank God for all the blessings you received😊

Because i had to finish graduate studies, i only earned seriously during my 30s. That was the only time i started saving. Its not too late…majority of my insurances and investments were put up during my 30s. Its never too late. The right time is now.

It’s really not easy to save money especially nowadays but SELF DISCIPLINE is also the key. I just reached my 200k goal recently. What I do is whenever I got my salary I just get the amount I need to spend for my bills and for allowance then the rest automatically goes to my savings account. if may luho ako gusto bilhin, I always make sure that the amount of savings I have in my bank is atleast twice or thrice the price ng luho na gusto ko bilhin para hindi ako broke after. Also un coins na mga sukli sukli sakin nilalagay ko sa isang lalagyan para maipon ko at yun din ginagamit ko pamasahe or pambili ng meryenda. Hehe😂

I remember 2018, I received more than what I expected na Christmas Bonus, dahil unexpected, at ayoko ng may hawak na pera, nagtripping ako for house and lot. 2021, naturnover na yung bahay sa amin and now, dito na kami nakatira. 😃

Hanggang ngayon po I am using labeled envelopes for all my expenses like electricity, internet, boarding house, etc para pag sweldo withdraw and then set aside na sa fixed expenses para pagdating ng bayaran ay di masyado mabigat and I have to live with what remains sa sahod ko. But still I am able to travel and eat sa mamahaling restaurant. Disiplina lang talaga. Got my 100k savings in my mid 30s and now almost 200k but scattered on digital savings bank, reit stocks and of course sa bank din for easy withdrawal in case of emergency.. Once ang sahud is sakto lang lalo pa ang dami mong binubuhay at bayarin you will find a ways or you can work it out but if sobra2x ang pera nawawala ka sa goal at napapa temp to expend on a nonsense stuffs. Kailangan mag tago ng pera at hindi masama na may isang bank accnt ka na hindi mo ipapa alam or sekreto sa partner mo kase that is for your own safe keeping and in case may emergency ❤.

Ako naman pag nagsesave, ako ang nagcocompute kasi nacategorize ko na lahat ng spending ko then ako na rin nagtatransfer. Emergency Funds, Sinking Funds, mga needs for the week, etc. Yung wants ko naman its on the expensive side so ilalagay ko siya sa GoTyme ko along with Emergency Funds to earn interest. Maliit lang sweldo so maliit lang savings pero it makes me feel good kasi its a good habit although at the end of every cutoff weeks, nararamdaman ko na napapagod na ako sa maliit sa sweldo kasi petsa de peligro nanaman (baluktot na lang tulad ng sinabi mo kuya). Magiincrease naman to eh, I will eventually reach my 100k, 4 months pa lang naman ako nagstart ng work haha. Laban lang nang laban

We have the same mentality when it comes to savings. Wala akong wallet when I was in highschool and college, yung ginagawa ko pag may paper bills ako, nilalagay ko sa case ng ID ko to hide my savings. Naalala ko tuloy HS teacher ko nung napansin nya yung ID ko na may pera😅 hanggang ngayon, dala-dala ko pa rin yung habit ko na nagtatago ng pera kahit peso man yan and I love doing it.

Kuya, 3rd yr college ako. Highschool ako nagiipon na ako pero ngyaung college nahirapan ako dahil sa dami ng temptations like food hindi vices. Literal an naremind ako ng video mo to record my expences at i project yung mga budget goals ko. Magsisimula na talaga ako mag ipon ng maayos. Nakakaguilty kasi noong junior hghschool ako, one my goal was makagraduate nang may naipon na 30k. Kung susumahin ko mga gastos ko sa temptations ko siguro papunta nako sa 30k ngayn, given the fact na may skills ako sa pagiipon haha. Thanks a lot! I'll update you kapag makahit ako ng 10K ipon from my allowances!!!
