Nice job! Can’t beat butter and garlic. Nice change vs. the usual ribs with BBQ sauce.

Nothin wrong with sweet, but yes we were ready to change it up a bit. Savory is our new favorite style for ribs! Thanks for coming by! ✌️

@BarlowBBQ5 жыл бұрын
That’s awfully nice of you to say, Louis! TBH we get inspiration from cooking magazines, cookbooks, and the web - we just try to add our own little twist to any recipes to make them more our own. Commercial rubs are fine and fun to try, but we prefer making our own. ✌️

OMG! I've been a subscriber on this channel for a while, and just now found out you have a senior pug! OMG!! :D Cheers from x2 pug dad! Thanks for the great recipe, will try it for sure!
@BarlowBBQ5 жыл бұрын
Hey that’s great!! Yep our pug - his name is Taco - is probably 12-13 years old. We got him in a pound in AZ back in 2006, guessing he was barely a year old then. Taco has been with us ever since we started backyard bbq, and he knows when something is smokin lol. Rest assured that he’s always sneaking around in just off camera in all of our videos! ✌️

I'm not sure because I never use a grill thermometer when using the Pit Barrel. But I think it's average temp is 275 - 300

Hey, great vids, thanks! Can you maybe make a tour of your backyard? I'm asking because right now I'm in the middle of building a house and I really want a cozy `foresty` backyard. Yours definately seems so.
@BarlowBBQ5 жыл бұрын
That’s a cool idea - we may do a tour once things grow in a bit up here. Our property is just under an acre, with a large backyard. We’ve got woods lining the north side of our property, and there are quite a bit of trees sprinkled across the yard and rest of property. I tell ya what - it sure looks pretty, but come fall I’m always in a world of hurt because there are SO MANY leaves. It’s too much lol! We love living in the country and wouldn’t trade it for a thing, just less trees next time! Thanks for reaching out! ✌️

Great video. Quick question: if u hung the ribs from the smaller end, would it let u cook more evenly?
@BarlowBBQ5 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question! We actually just did a rack of ribs hanging from the tapered end last weekend. I didn’t notice a difference in more even cooking, but the tapered end hanging down by the fire cooked up real nice - the texture in that part was awesome. I think I’ll be hanging it that way again next time!
