Some BTS info: The Razor Box wasn’t meant for Addison, it was meant for Gus. He was guilty of embezzlement and domestic violence. His tape would’ve mentioned “punishing the hands that harmed others when his anger reached its peak” and “reaching his hand into the cookie jar for money.” Addison’s trap would’ve resembled a waffle iron, where 2 clamps would hold down her wrists as she reached for an antidote and they would heat up. To free herself, she would’ve had to press her face against a third waffle iron to “sacrifice her looks”, which was her money-maker as a prostitute.

The needle pit scene is easily tied with the hobbling scene in Misery as the hardest to watch in film history.

Also love that the series has established that “Jigsaw” always put themselves front row during the game to make sure the rules are followed. John in the bathroom of Saw 1, and now Amanda in Saw 2. So now there’s an element of someone working from the inside during a game that intrigued me going forward

If you loved Saw, and I do, this is a terrific sequel. More of what worked (Tobin Bell & Shawnee Smith, gruesome traps, wild reveals) and less of what didn't (Expository flashbacks, Cary Elwes) all wrapped up in the Mother of All Escape Rooms. I think one of the best compliments I can pay this movie is that I've always wondered what the tapes & traps were for the characters that didn't get properly tested. Brilliant follow up to a classic horror film, and a meteoric kickstart for an unlikely franchise. Best Trap: The Needle Pit

Jigsaw's overall plan of the house in Saw 2 feels like it went way too overboard with the kill potential. In know it's a sequel and they gotta outdo themselves. But in-universe, these traps leave no room for error, especially with the overall 2 hour time limit and the deteriorating health of each victim. I haven't seen any other Saw movies yet, but it seems like they're just set up to fail. It's gonna make watching these movies a bit less fun.

It’s worth watching the behind-the-scenes clip of how they made the needle pit because it shows that they just use these sticky rubber pads to attach to Amanda, and then stuck a shorter needle in that so she just feels these little sponge pads all over her

The twist with the tape is that it reveals the house events already happened. The cops were being strung along. The son was already safe, and literally in the safe.

I liked 2 but I prefer 1. I didn’t really connect with the cop and I wanted more time focused on the house and traps. The twists were pretty dope tho. I’m surprised you guys think so highly of the needle pit. I feel like that was the “safest” of all the traps. I liked the opening spike trap best mainly because of the solution for it. Pretty EYEconic no? 😄

I love that you guys are doing this, but someone needs to set Andy straight lol. That Jurassic Park/Lost World comment is the worst take of all time. I LOVE the Saw series, I used to go to them every Halloween with my buddies. The original Jurassic Park kicks the shit out every single entry in the Saw franchise and it's not close.
