I've read all the comments. You should know this gentleman invented the log saw portable saw mill and has been sawing and and ripping for 50 years plus. his company and son and family design and build some very sophisticated woodworking machines . We are all privileged to hear this gentleman's wisdom knowledge and experience about chains sharpening and eficiency in woodworking. ⚒️⚒️

I was very surprised to see the setting at 10 degrees ... I was told 30 degrees was more standard... just curious to see what your reasoning was ? Thanks again. Craig. Pa. Guy

Rip cutting chain fir cutting along the grain, or down the log in order to make planks. 10' The vast majority of chains sold and in use are cross cut chains. Fir felling and firewood. 30'

You could learn Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish. Then you would understand what he is saying in Swedish. As a bonus you could speak to Scandinavians when you visit us.
