Ash Red i didn't say i LIKED them, but, have you ever played The Last of Us? What i'm saying is this; as long as you have them rarely and far in between each other, they aren't as bad as you say, for example; say you get grabbed by a zombie, and you have to press triangle or X to shake it off; it gives you that adrenaline rush to "oh crap, gotta hit the button before it bites me!" but quick time events for COMBAT or THIS MANY quick time events, is just pointless

Sometimes there is no other way to convey an action sequence than a quicktime event, only issue is, some stupid game devs think half of the game should be quicktime events. (only decent game that was mostly quicktime events is heavy rain, and that is more of an interactive experience than a game, and it was never marketed as a full-on game and rightfully so)
