That is some well defined grain!! We have about 3 acres of oak and cherry I would love to cut into lumber, my wife wants to make flooring from the oak I am not sure how well that would work since we have a combination of burr oak and pin oak. The cherry is smaller in diameter and some are hollow in the middle, one actually was blown over about 10 years ago and just missed the house by about 4 inches.😱😱 I did get quite a bit of cherry to use in the smoker😄😄. Some of the oaks are very straight and have a diameter of at least 30 to 40 inches, the branches are the size of most trees in the area. One that we had removed yielded three 10' logs for lumber, had one cut into quarter sawn and the other into 1.5 to 2" boards the third was just 1", more waste than I was wanting with the quarter sawn log, but it's not like we paid for the logs to begin with....so not a big deal.

I could tell right away the difference of fresh sharpened bits. The sound of each cut is smooth and consistent. Keep up the good work.

A mix of annual and perennial rye is best for construction areas. You can add a little fescue or blue,, But the rye sprouts late in the fall, sprouts early in the spring, will hold the soil faster than anything else. If things stay mild, you may have a little green haze by the end of December
@markgalicic77883 күн бұрын
yes rye will grow fast.

great looking grain pattern. I'd love to have some of the outer lumber. I like watching a journyman machine operator. He/she can make them do everything but dance. as far as firewood goes there is an old saying... it heats you up three times, once when you cut it , once when you split it and once when you burn it. viewed in San Diego.

Yeah, as well their fresh set of teeth seem to be slinging more debris up rather than down, appears they need a little professional help. Personally I'd try a magnetic base dial indicator on the carriage checking for blade alignment & run-out. There are videos of truing blades, another art requiring patience & acquired finesse.
