You add a touch of down home country to your channel. I liken it to sitting on the front porch Sunday morning talking and relaxing watching Henry drive down the gravel road and wonder where he is going. I'm a life long city boy from the city (San Diego) but spend two wonderful years part time on a farm in Winchester VA when the Army would turn me loose. You and your crew are relaxing to see.

I just made out like a bandit. I walked down to the corner royal farm to get my son a box of donuts. The delivery guy was inside and dumping 10 trays of donuts into a big bag and delivering new stock. I said "Can I take them out to the dumpster for you?" He tied the bag and said their all yours, so I came home with 5 dozen free donuts less than 24 hrs old. The manager behind the counter said he's here every night.

Loved the cherry logs. Reminded me of the cherry cabinets I had made for the 1913 farm house I gutted and refit. Yellow pine floors and interior trim, never painted. Stacked the flooring in the basement for 2 years whilst the refit was going on. OMG what a beauty she was when I finished her. From a zero bathroom, 6 bedroom to a 2.5 bath 3 bedroom with nanny quarters.

beautiful stock coming off that big cherry log. I wish I was closer to you guys as I do a lot of smaller woodturning projects and those pieces you chop up for firewood would great for somebody like me who can make use of shorts. I make good use of 2-3 foot lengths, that you guys would consider firewood. This video is a perfect example of how you have to think ahead when grade sawing. He has to be conscious of the bark inclusion at the butt and where it falls on each face. It's not as simple as just chunking the log on the Frick and go to cutting. Hès having to play log chess and basically cut the entire log in his head before he actually cuts it. Grade sawing with limbs is one thing but with that bark inclusion it changes how he processes the entire log. Great video Mr. Mark, you make it look so easy.

I enjoy your videos. I wish I new your cut dimensions for each cut, 1". 2", etc, as well as the board with, ie10", 12". You seldom give the length or the log feet, eight feet, ten feet, etc. I guess that you expect for us to guestimate from the screen. It is fun, but one can never know if they are accurate. also, in the rare times that you give your thickness, when you say 1" or 4/4 do you mean actually 3/4. Is your cut of a 4/4 board done in anticipation of plaining it to actual 3/4? I like to relate your wood work to the product that I buy at the yard. Derek
