This show in Atlanta was a Stop on Sawyer's 2018 Hide Your Ghost Tour. Sawyer is touring with his band; Art Fredericks, Bass Guitar, Chris Thomas, Drums and Jerome Goosman, Guitar and Harmonies. Hide Your Ghost was written and produced independently by Sawyer. Sawyer recorded Hide Your Ghost analog to digital at Dreamland studios in Woodstock NY.

Man... Pharrell really, really did have a prescient moment when he said what he did at Sawyer's blind audition. An amazing thing is happening with this young man: he is knitting together young and old, pop and blues, the 60's with the 21st Century, and different cultures in America and it sounds like around the world, too! Kind of a musical messiah thing going on...

I normally listen only to Christian Music but Sawyer Fredericks is the exception to that! What other artist writes all his own music and sings and stays completely true and authentic to who he is..I’ve never found another like him. Even from his younger days he was writing his music and performing it. You’re a beautiful soul and so talented. I’m looking forward to your future albums.

Two reasons this song would be so hard to do live- the multiple voices and effects in the recording, and the dramatic pauses and shifts. I hope Sawyer knows what he has in a band that stays tight and keeps up with his complex music. It was even better the second performance in Nashville- and the followup drum solo going into Stranger is also something to witness. Thanks, as always, for the video Joni.
