This was a very difficult list for me to make lol. If there's one thing Naruto does flawlessly, it's its characters, and as a result the series has so many characters that I like just so much but sadly can't put on the list. Honorable mentions go to Minato, Hashirama, Naruto, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Neji, Nagato, and Gaara 7) Shikamaru Nara: He's the character I relate the most with. Other than that, he's here for the reasons he was on your list Sawyer 6) Obito Uchiha: One of the best examples of an underdog ever. He goes from a helpless little boy to a borderline god, and it's a development that's done through retrospect and flashbacks. He's also the reason for a lot of the best twists in the series, like revealing Itachi to be a good guy, that the clumsy, joke-of-a-character Tobi was Madara Uchiha, and then that the masked leader of the Akatsuki wasn't actually Madara. He also did that thing where he controlled 6 tailed beasts at once with the Rinnegan, and that's gotta be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. 5) Hinata Hyuga: I'm a sucker for cute/shy characters and Hinata is a really good example of one. She's adorable, but also manages to become strong and willful over the course of the series, and I love that. 4) Kakashi Hatake: The reason I got hooked on the series. The first exposure I had to Naruto was when I stumbled across it late one night on Toonami, and at that point I thought the show looked dumb based on the commercials for it. I saw Kakashi being a complete god during the test he gave Team 7 and immediately fell in love with the show. He's cool, badass, intelligent, versatile, and an incredible role model for the main characters. 3) Sasuke Uchiha: Adding on to what Sawyer said, Sasuke is probably the most independent and determined character in both the world of Naruto and the universe of anime. His attack on the 5 Kage Summit is one of the boldest things I've ever seen a character do, and it was an excellent display of how he developed over the course of the series. 2) Itachi Uchiha: Once more, he's here for all the reasons you gave, Sawyer xD 1) Madara Uchiha: Hands down the most badass character of the show. The only person that competes with him in that respect is Itachi, and even Itachi never pulled off any of the crazy shit Madara did. Madara is one of the most threatening villains in anime period, even topping Orochimaru and Pain who both gave the series a very real feeling of danger. With all that said, his character is expanded upon in the Madara/Hashirama flashback arc and his motivations are very understandable, which is something you rarely see with a character this diabolical. His conflict with Hashirama makes Naruto and Sasuke's own conflict look almost trivial.

My Top 7 Naruto Characters: 7.) Jiraiya - Gandalf of the story sums it up pretty well. 6.) Hinata - Strong, independent female character done right. 5.) Rock Lee - His optimism and strive for greatness is forever inspirational. 4.) Kakashi - The 'Spike Spiegel' of Naruto, he carries tremendous weight and continues moving forward without ever looking back. 3.) Obito - Haters GTFO, he's the most multi-faceted character in Naruto and had one of the most defined character arcs in Shounen history. He also gave the story tonal nuance and mystery! 2.) Sasuke - For the same reasons people think Itachi is so well-developed and morally complex, I just think Sasuke represented those struggles with much more moral ambiguity and in the end he fucked up a LOT more than Itachi which just makes him feel more human to me. *(1.) Naruto.* I personally identify with his character traits the most! He's no where near the most developed character but...he keeps his character and that's what's important to me. No matter how much you throw at him, he'll send it back tenfold. Honourable Mentions: Madara Uchiha. For just being plain badass and giving the story a real sense of danger not felt since Orochimaru! Neji. For being right about EVERYTHING and his heroic sacrifice!

Slim Shadey Um... no, her character is shown to admire Naruto in the scenes she's involve. Its a shame because most of the canon is consumed by Uchiha/Team 7 drama, so we never see much of the side characters or their lives except in fillers but a good chunk of Hinata's life dedicated to getting strong and proving she isn't worthless as her family deem her as. Which she does. Just because she isn't bashing heads in or screaming at the top of voice doesn't mean she's not independent. Just means she's reserved. Makes sense considering she does come from one of the more regal families in Konoha and her whole disposition of quietness. TD;LR: she's independent woman, all the konichis are. If she wasn't, she'd probably long given up her career as a ninja lol

Favorite Naruto Characters: 1. Jiraiya- for literally being the only major character that made me cry when he died and being a great teacher and role model for Naruto; and for also being a GREAT comic-relief to the show! 2. Naruto Uzumaki- for overcoming the hate that the villagers had toward him and showing them that they were wrong about him and for also being the #1 hyper-active knuckle-headed ninja that made this show likeable and enjoyable to begin with 3.Neji Hyuga- in my OTP, for having the best character development and change in his mentality and (like Naruto pointed out) for being a genius; his death to me was so out of place and not needed, it just didn't seem real 4. Sakura Haruno- because despite all of her flaws that will have a lot of people hating her, I honestly think that's what makes her more human and more relatable on SOME levels; because there is not a person in this world who is perfect in their decisions and I like how Sakura portrays that and even admits it to herself when she needs to be and do better; plus her character development that changed in part 2 from the girl she was in part 1. She also didn't need a power-up to prove her worth like Lee and I loved that 5. Rock Lee- the power of youth lol. And, because he truly worked hard to show everyone that without ninjutsu or genjutsu he can still be a powerful ninja 6. Hinata Hyuga- though I wish most of her determination and change was geared more toward proving her family wrong that she was too weak to lead the Hyuga clan and proving that she can become strong and be considered the true leader, her determination of being a better ninja never faltered. Plus, her sweet heart and kind soul; though we didn't see much of her development, it was there and she grew from the person that she was in part 1 7. Sasuke Uchiha- because of the love/hate thing I had going for him, it was impossible for me to ever completely dislike him and to me he really added some good conflict to the story and with a backstory like his it's understandable that he took the road that he took in his life. I also like how he was real with himself and everyone else through and through; he just didn't care about what other people thought of him and he showed the real him without covering up anything

My top 7 characters 7. Zabuza-He was a very complex villian, and the only villian that I felt sorry for in the end. 6. Jiraiya-At first he seemed like a one dimensional character, but I was surprised by how layered he was. Was really sad to see him go. 5. Kushina- Though she was only in the manga for a short time she made a big impression on me. I loved how real she was, if that makes sense, and how similar she was to Naruto. Truly an awesome mom. 4. Hinata-I was very shy growing up, and even more shy when I was around a person I really liked, so I sympathized with Hinata immediately. I also love just how kind she was, especially to Naruto. 3. Naruto-Do I have to explain why I love this guy? 2. Kakashi-I love characters who aren't only one thing and that's Kakashi. He's a badass but also a little perveted, he's wise but also troubled. He's the most multilayered character I have read in a manga. 1. Sasuke-I love characters who grow and develop, that after evey arc they change and evolve. Sasuke was the one character who had me on my toes this whole series. With every passing event in this story Sasuke's character changed as a direct result of that event. He went from being an orphan boy, to a warrior, to a vengeful shinobi, and finally ended as a loyal friend, husband ( I assume it wasn't made clear if he married Sakura), and father. Talk about a journey.

Yeah Zabuza was one of the only vilains that I could feel sorry for, Kishi tries too hard to justfiy the actions of Mass Murderers in the series to the point of it becoming tiring and stale, he didn't even try justifing Obito.

*****​ Yeah if it hadn't been a one sided love situation I would have sympathized with Obito more, but because it was one sided I just couldn't feel sorry for him. Especially when you have villians like Madara who lost family, people who he had a strong connection too. Hell it would have made more sense if Kakashi had become a villian. He lost his dad (maybe mother too), his only friends, and his teacher. If Kakashi can go through all that and remain good Obito could have at least tried to move on from Rin. It just makes him look pathetic by comparison.

Kisame (personal favorite Antagonist. A loyal badass). 5. Pain (his ending sucked but he was Madara before Madara showed up). 6. My list is: 1. Itachi- I love Itachi. Insight and straight out power and skill aside, he was just such a great character, one that deserves so much respect. Maybe because Im the oldest of three that I like the older brother, but it's probably much more than that. He carried a burden no one should have to carry, and sacrificed his life to darkness to protect the village and his brother. He was failure too, because he couldn't save Sasuke from darkness, and while his actions momentarily saved the village from war, it went to war later on anyway. Fuck, even though he was DEAD he had one the greatest impacts in the series, reminding Naruto that if you try to do everything yourself, now that you have obtained power, you will *turn into another Madara*, which is actually exactly what happened to Sasuke at the second battle at the Valley of the End. *"Remember Naruto, it is not those who are Hokage become acknowledged by the village, but it is the ones who are acknowledged become Hokage"*. Like Captain levy said: "we never know how things will turn out, we just have to make decisions the best we can with the knowledge we have at the time" and Itachi does just this. 2. Sasuke- the avenger of the series, he was my favorite character back when I was like, 10, watching the series at home. This is probably the most personal for me, but he still remains at this spot because while the story is called Naruto, it was as much about Sasuke as it was Naruto. We see him evolve and change, grow and develop as person and shinobi, and his story, while not the saddest, not by a long shot, was painful, and just the way we see him deal with it is really great to watch. He's always been more mature than Naruto and the others, and fuck it, I just loved watching him. 3. Jiraiya- While Kakashi was Naruto's original teacher, like you said sawyer, it was his passing of ideals and beliefs to Naruto that really pushed Naruto's character onwards for the rest of the series. Rasengan aside, Jiraiya had perhaps the greatest influence on Naruto, and thus the story itself. We also are painfully aware that he he was actually a failure for most of his life. Tsunade rejected him, he never brought Orochimaru back, in fact, the only thing that he really succeeded in was Naruto, but that alone equalizes all of the failures. Even in his final fight, he realized too *late* the mystery of Pein, and it was his death that gave the village just a little bit more information on Pein that made it so much easier to fight him. The fact that he was also a great shinobi, a great person, and a pervert which only further increases his likeablitity makes me put him at number 3. 4. Kakashi- Speaking of Kakashi, he's another one of the best. Another character who also failed to save Obito, failed to keep Rin safe, but still pushes on with his life, making him a really great character (I really like tragic characters if you haven't noticed). His speech to Sasuke that "yes we lose people, but we find others to fill the void" was just perfectly written. Even at the very end with the fight agaisnt kaguya he was still helping Naruto and Sasuke, even though they were stronger than him at that point. his influence was always felt, from the moment he was introduced until the very last chapter. 5. Shikamaru- (the one non-tragic character here), like you said, he's not the strongest, but he knows this and still does great things with what he does have. Really started liking him after the chunins exams, and it only further increased from there. Kakuzu and Hidan arc was really all about him, which I think is what made it such a great and fun arc to watch. 6.Konan- Ah Konan, I guess we all have to have 1 female character on our top seven, and here's mine. I probably like her the most of the original founding members of the akatsuki and of the three orphans *because* she is the least important. She knows that the akatsuki is really all Nagato and Yahiko, thus she resolves to be their bridge, one that supports them, instead of trying to be a frontrunner. Very few characters in this series resolve to the be the supports of greater shinobi (also why Shikamaru is number 5), and I'm glad she was one of them. 7. Naruto- Main character of the series, not really much to say here. He took all the hate and pain the village gave to him, and didn't let it affect him. he became a greater person because of it, and later on became the *hero* of the village, and later on of the world. Pretty incredible.

1) Danzo. Hated by many, he's my favorite character in Naruto by far. Crafty and manipulative, amazing wind techniques as well. Really one of those grey chars who have a noble goal but have a twisted way of achieving it. 2) Kakuzu. Just love his cold and heartless attitude to everything. Not to mention his looks and powers. 3) Pain. Konoha's destruction was something I thoroughly enjoyed + his theme is amazing. 4) Kisame. Powerful and great with wielding the samehada. Also stayed loyal to his cause until the end. 5) Itachi. The Jesus of Naruto series. It is hard to not like him. 6) Kinkaku & Ginkaku. Liked their abilities and their story. Shame they went out so fast. 7) Zabuza. Just a total badass. And a very emotional scene with his death.

Well I somehow always like villains more than good guys in amines. They seem to have an element of mystery to them and there's always that moment of revelation as to what their reasons were for acting this way. As for making a top list, I actually would have struggled with naming 10 favorite chars, since Naruto just went down the drain for me with the last shinobi war.

I just love him, I guess... a truly tragic character and I wish he had gotten more screen time! 5. Kurama: He's the reason I started watching Naruto. I wanted a giant fox... I loved him since day one, before he even had a personality, and I always knew he was a big softie at heart! 4. Probably Minato AND Kushina... They get to share a spot. Best parents, best flippin' death scene in the entire series! I will bawl my eyes out every time! Top three can be interchanged and I wouldn't mind, so they aren't in order exactly... 3. Hatake Kakashi: Honestly... do I HAVE to explain this? Kakashi is just probably the deepest character in the series and I applaud him for surviving the hell he want through... :( 2. Uzumaki Naruto: Again, explanation isn't really needed. You tend to connect with the main character! XD 1. Uchiha Obito: I may be the only person who puts him at number one! I love him! I always loved him, back from his first appearance in Kakashi Gaiden until his final death scene and beyond. I dunno... He was whiny and annoying, and evil and killed Minato and Kushina... but I never stopped loving this character... Honorable mentions: Iruka Danzo (yes, leave me alone! DX) Hinata Madara, just because. Tobirama (cause I hate most Uchiha too, so it's all good!) Neji: I adore him! Guy-sensei and Lee! Just because they always made me smile! Yeesh... this list could go on forever...! And... favorite non-canon/filler character: Probably Sora, I guess! Or Hiruko! He was a good villain... For a movie... Least favorite characters:: Sakura and NOT because I think she's useless... gosh... She was always just boring to me. I never cared for the character and never really felt a connection. A lot of people say she's the most "realistic" character but when you look at inventive back stories like Obito's and Kakashi's and Hinata's and Naruto's... her;s just seems lame and her motivations were always dull for me, I guess... Sasuke... I honestly can't tell you why I don't like him... I just never liked Sasuke... The only reason I stayed invested in his story was because I wanted Naruto to be happy... Please don't kill me...

My top ten of Naruto characters: 1) Hinata Hyuuga- been my day one since the moment I saw her. Precious child turned goddess. Bow down to her. 2) Rock Lee- also precious, weird but really precious. And I'm OP with him in Generations (though Hinata's my main). 3)Gaara- i fell pretty much in love with his techniques and I forever see him as Naruto's mirror/foil when they were children instead sasuwhatever. 4) NARUTO UZUMAKI- homeboy was someone that grew on me. Especially in part 2. 5) Sai- he doesn't get enough love. His humor and the way he fucks with people without knowing, God, I wish he been with team 7 since the beginning. 6) Kushina/Karin Uzumaki- I'm not sure who I love more but their fiery attitudes gives me utter life. Love them. 7) Minato Namikaze- he's fucking amazing. Best character, 10/10. I wish, sometimes, he wasn't dead. That he was alive to his grandbabies. 8) Tobi- before he went all fucking serious and WHAT A TWIST! ITS OBITO! 😱😱 Ugh. 9) Killer Bee- KILLER BEE!! Kelvin he's the best when it comes as a written character (I really like his depth), but there's a bunch obviously that I love way more than him xD usually he hovers around the top five but I started to take a real shine to some characters as of the late...

TenTen is in my honorable mentions too but only because Naruto SD gave her more traits and development than the main show did. She even got to have an established rivalry with Temari in it for one episode in the same vein as Neji/Lee or Sasuke/Naruto. Too bad they didn't develop that more. If you're watching the recent fillers, you can tell their basing TenTen's character on the Naruto SD version because otherwise they wouldn't know what to do with her. Kishimoto didn't give the writers anything to work with and so she became the Queen of Punchlines. Also, I like Kiba just like you. For some reason, he gets a lot of hate but I feel sympathy for him. Not to take away from Naruto's hard work (I like Naruto too) but I see Kiba as what Naruto would have been if Naruto didn't get all the advantages he received from being 'The Child of Prophesy/Chosen One.'

Well this is my top 7 list if anybody ever cares to read all of it. 1. Itachi is my favorite character because of his insight on the world and its truths. Itachi could be considered a perfect character but when he came back as edo tensei he acknowledged his mistakes which was mind blowing as sawyer mentioned. Not to mention he's extremely powerful and always assess the situation on a level on or possibly slightly above shikamaru. 2. Naruto/Hinata is next because of their determination. I know its a running cliche for main shounen characters but anyone who can turn someone so far down in the darkness to a full fledged good guy is amazing to me. He had a horrible childhood but over came it all and learned to accept everyone and achieved his dream of being hokage and is as happy as can be with a new family. He's no longer alone. Hinata is also there because I see these characters as one rather than two separate characters. They invoke extreme emotions into eachother with just words. I feel they complete eachother. Hinata grew up with others yet she was always alone. Hinata had to over come disapproval from her father and from a strict family. She was basically casted as nothing and had to regain trust by showing her determination that she learned from watching Naruto. She was always there for him despite everything she was told about him. Hinata is there for when even Naruto is on the brink of giving up she's there to bring him back. 3. Obito is next because he is like a "what-if" Naruto if Naruto succumbed to loss and darkness. People hate on Obito but I love his character. He grew up with nothing and was always behind everyone else but he had one light which was rin and when he lost he that triggered the realisation that the shinobi world was cruel. At heart he wanted nothing more than to free the world from pain and suffering even though the way he went about it was bad. Deep down all he wanted to do was see the person who gave him hope and in the end he he died and got to spend eternity with rin. 4. Sakura is next and I know its a running gag to hate on Sakura but I don't care. I like Sakura because kishi made her with a touch of real life as he described when talking about his creation of Sakura. The fact of her loving Sasuke throughout her years and even when trying to let go, just the thought of him brought her back. Her determination to save someone close to her heart just shows how strong she is adversity wise. She aspires to be as strong as her teammates as most women aspire to be just as good if not better than their male rivals in real life. In the end Sakura got to be eternally happy with the man she loved as a teenager and her daughter. 5. Tobirama is next because despite being the most hated hokage he set the standard for how the village is today. He created many of the common techniques used and was noted as the most powerful water style user ever. I like tobirama because despite being hated he didn't care because he knew what he was doing was all for the favor of the village. Sometimes once you've seen something like madara it is really hard to take a chance in letting someone else turn out like that. In the end he sacrificed himself to save his team because he knew the new generation was more important. He's also extremely badass and doesn't take Shit from anyone not even his older brother who is way stronger than he is. 6. Jiraya of course is next because he had arguably the saddest death. He was a great mentor to 2 extremely strong shinobi. He considers himself a failure but we all know he accomplished his life goals. He did find the answer to peace in a person named Naruto. We all grew grew to love jiraya and his pervyness/ funny laid back personality. Not to mention he's extremely powerful. 7. Sasuke is last on my list because of his amazing character development. He was twisted and pulled in all directions but in the end he knew in his heart where he was going. Back to his team. He could never forget his care for his team no matter how hard he tried. Kishi portrays Sasuke as a kid who had to grow up too fast and turned roughly insane in the process. Not to mention Sasuke is smart, and a very collected character. I find a bit of myself in Sasuke and that's another reason he's important to me.

I agree with most of your list but a few things. I hated Rin "waiting" for Obito, it left a really bad taste in my mouth because he could have just killed himself and met her and avoided all this mess and also his change was VERY abrupt, its like Naruto becoming like him by losing Sasuke and Iruka before he made bonds with anyone else. Tobirama is a great character but I think Danzo is better than him because he *really* got his hands dirty and the symbolism between him and Hirizen as Yin and Yang was perfect, he has all of Tobirama's ideas and goes a step further by really being in the shadows (It's amazing how Sasuke resembles the person he hated the most). Sakura is a bad character in my opinion but you are right she was the true underdog in Team 7 and pretty realistic.I don't like Itachi all that much, he did admit towards his mistakes but that doesn't mean anything, his treatment of Sasuke was his biggest fuck up and for a genius, i'm surprised he thought someone like Tobi would die from Amataersu. Great list overall.

Sasuke Uchiha Obito couldn't kill himself because of the puppet seal madara put on his heart. That's why he let Kakashi stab through him. His change may have been fast but when you think about it, the good in his heart never left. It was just hidden as we all know from Sasuke, noone can truly hide from the good in their heart. Tobirama was more on the humane/good side so he wasn't exactly like Danzo. He was willing to do dirty work for the village but not NEARLY as dirty as the things Danzo did. I personally think Tobirama would shame Danzo if he knew of the things he did. Tobirama just wanted to stop the uchiha from becoming threatening, not null them completely. I felt the same way about Sakura until I did some deep analysing of her character but I respect your opinion. Itachi may be a bit overrated but its widely accepted that he is the best character in Naruto. And I have written a whole analysis on why I think he would be a great hokage in another video. I don't think he thought it would kill tobi. Maybe he used it as a subtle warning to Sasuke to make Sasuke question why itachi would place a trigger justu on him so that after he told Sasuke itachi's true story, Sasuke would consider him bad news and stay away from him but Sasuke was way too stubborn and wanted to be too independent for that. Atleast that's what I think it meant. But thank you for your input.

Alonzo Anderson He could have let someone else kill him (LOL) like the Kakashi incident. The Uchiha were a big threat you have to understand that Danzo takes *0* chances and there was really nothing else that could have stopped the Uchiha, so Danzo took the route that was the "safest", he embraces the "ends justify the means" ideaology like Madara, Obito, Sasuke, and Nagato. Itachi left Sasuke with Amaterasu to kill Tobi, did he think that if Tobi could escape the Black Flames he would just fuck off or how about Danzo who he had to fucking remain to not kill his brother what about him, did he forget Danzo brutality and his cruel nature and how he said that it would be dangerous if Sasuke found out about Itachi. And TBH, if Itachi didn't cry when he saw Sasuke, if he had implanted Amaterasu in Sauske before, if he didn't poke his head when he was dying Sasuke probably wouldn't have believed Tobi (I know Itachi just wanted to say goodbye and it hurts him when Sasuke is in pain but still he could have not shown these signs of affection). I think Sakura sucks for the simple fact that she is a main character, she would have been a great side character but sorry when compared to Naruto, Kakashi, and Sasuke her character is laughable.

Sasuke Uchiha Obito had a goal. He didn't want to die for that reason. And I agree with what you know of Danzo's reasoning. Obviously the Uchiha had a plan in mind and as we know once an Uchiha has something set in mind they do everything they can to achieve it. They wouldn't have settled it with talking so ultimately Danzo's decision was the only way even though it was horrible. It could also be a possibility that itachi didn't know the full extent of obito's power. But even with that I still believe a bit of what I said earlier about it being more of a warning than an actual attempt at obito's life because itachi is wayyy more perceptive than that. At that point Danzo had no idea of itachi's death and was probably still scared from itachi's warning. Not to mention he could of thought that itachi set up ways to screw Danzo even after his death. Itachi put much faith in Sasuke also seeing as how he knew how strong Sasuke would be when they had their final showdown so itachi knew Sasuke would eventually be able to handle himself. Also something thats noteworthy is that itachi thought that Sasuke would return to the village in which case Danzo just wouldn't be able to do just anything to Sasuke without raising suspicions or huge punishment. I don't exactly like Sakura's role, I like her as a character and the concept of her feelings/personality. I only like her role as a part of team 7 for how close she got with Sasuke and how much of a brother and sister bond shit had with Naruto which wouldn't feel as good if she wasn't on team 7. Personally I think Hinata would have been a better female main character but that's another whole conversation.

Alonzo Anderson TBH, I would rather have had Ino replace her since she had a crush on Sasuke that could have been like Sakura's and wasn't a tsunadre plus her abilities were by far more interesting. Favorite Naruto Characters: 10. Temari. Not much to say except that I love her attitude and I love how much she cares for her brothers, even when Gaara was a sociopath. Also she's got a giant fan, that should be funny but it's awesome instead. 9. Rock Lee. Who can't fall in love with Lee? He's over the top but incredibly determined. He always means well and has infectious charisma. Also, when the end of his battle with Gaara was a man tear moment for me. 8. Sasuke. Okay I get it. He has a lot of cool abilities, he is soft on the eyes and is the obvious totally not yaoi parallel to Naruto. I like the type of arc he is given and sometimes that leads to a lot of good moments. But he would probably be in the top 5 if the writers didn't go so far to make him so unlikable. I love a good fallen hero story, but man Sasuke was a pain to read sometimes. He just barely escaped being totally irredeemable in my eyes. 7. Killer B. Holy shit this guy is awesome! Aside from sword fighting like a motherfucker, I love his admirable confidence. He knows who he is, what he can do and is totally chill with it. It's like Kendrick Lamarr's "i" is his life's theme and motto. Best moment: his childhood friend asks him to forgive him for trying to kill him. His response? "I ain't even mad homes." 6. Jiraiya. Another cool confident character that has his bouts of comedy, of course from his perversions. His belief in a better future and personal philosophies pull me into his journey. He's knowledgeable, hell of a fighter, and probably the shows best example of cool old guy. I got a little misty eyed when he passed, but I will definitely remember him. 5. Gaara. The best redeemed character. Here's a guy that I was terrified of when he was introduced, then he grew into someone I can not only support but cheer for. I need more of Gaara being an awesome person. 4. Kakashi. I read someone called him the "Spike Spiegal of Naruto". That's true and that's all I have to say about him. 3. Hinata. The women of Naruto range from "filler" to"okay at best" to "really good" to "for fucks sake just give her something to do already!" Hinata triumphs over them all. She's a Shrinking Violet coming into her own done right. Whenever you see her try, you root for her and it's a great moment whenever she does succeed. 2. Itachi. This would be the best written character to me. He goes through much conflict at a young age and was always remained intelligent, philosophical, and an engaging character. I always wanted to know what he was going to do and why. So everything Sawyer said. 1. Shikamaru. This guy really gets me. He's a genius, but doesn't want to do anything because it'd be too much work. He is sociable but hates peoples bullshit. His arc was one of the best and had the best act of vengeance EVAH! I love his personality, I love his arc, I love his dedication to his loved ones. I would watch the clouds with him anyday.

1. Kakashi Hatake- He was just badass on all levels. He had it all in one package, and he wasn't haxed at all fuck(Excluding the part where he used Susanoo.) 2. Gaara- His development as a character is really one of the bests in the series. I really loved his back story, made me relate more to him in a sense, and he grew to be such a great shinobi. 3. Shikamaru Nara- He was just a fun character. There was a sense of realism about him that made me relate to him the most, minus the fact that he was smart as all fuck. 4. Tobirama Senju- In the short amount of time he was shown, I just found him to be a total badass. He was the originator of most things, such as Edo Tensei and what not. And he was just fucking badass. 5. Shino Aburame- Most overlook him, but I have always found him to be a dope character. He was calm, quiet, and deadly. Easily one of the best of the rookies, just should have had more time and attention. 6. Naruto Uzumaki- Minus the fact that he became op and god, I loved Naruto back when it began. He was the underdog. His back-story along with Gaara's used to make me tear up a bit, and I loved that about a character. 7. Sakura- Many hate her and would refuse to give her any credit, but Sakura is someone I respect. When she started out, she was an annoying little b*tch, and the way she pined over Sasuke annoyed the hell out of me. However, she really impress me in Shippuden. This is one of the main characters, unlike Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi, she didn't have a powerful bloodline, a bijuu, unlimited amount of chakra, or a kekei genkai. She was a normal ninja, with excellent chakra control and intelligence to match. She went out of her way to train with Tsunade to become one of the best young medical shinobi in that series. Hell, if Naruto and Sasuke weren't so freaking hax, she would have been on even footing with them when she finally developed the byakugo(Can't remember how to spell this stuff for shit at the moment). And honestly, she doesn't deserve half the shit she gets from the fans. Especially when most back the hell out of Hinata, someone who is barely even shown in the series, and hasn't really improved by that much, but I digress.

If there were no Itachi there wouldnt be naruto or sasuke. Itachi who chose hatred instead of love, disgrace instead of honor..He sacrificed himself, his clan and everything he knew for the sake of peace..Imagine creating a plan, where your own death is a necessary part of the plan.. My Top 7 7) Konan- Best female anyone? She wasn't a weakling like most of the third females in a squad and was a solid character overall. 6) Tobi( NOT Fagito)- (I don't like considering Tobi and Obito as one character since they're way to different) Smart, sly, and the most mysterious character in the show. Whenever he showed up you really felt the danger. 5)Hiruzen- Best Hokage IMO! Not only was he powerful in both his prime and old age, he was an extremely kind hearted for a Shinobi. To bad his kindness is what got him killed. 4)Jiraaayaa- Trained and taught three powerful leaders, and a man who really wanted peace more than anyone(probably) 3) MOTHERFUCKING LEE!- Beast ass taijutsu user second only to the Mightiest of Guys(see what I did there😂). He is the character that worked harder than anyone. He didn't have any stupid ass prophecy or ninjutsu/genjutsu but still became a splendid shinobi( not to mention he had the best fight in the show: Garra vs Lee). Despite not doing shit in part 2, it's the things in part 1 that made him great. 2)Shikamaru- Shikafuckingmaru. This man wasn't strong at all but he was one of the best ninjas who relied on his wits to get his desired outcomes not to mention he's the most fleshed out rookie aside from Naruto and Saucy Sauce. 1) Itachi- This man went through so much shit it's crazy. A skilled Shinobi both physically and mentally. He would've become the best Hokage if given the chance imo. Lived, died, reincarnated and died again like a true Leaf Shinobi.

Top 7 7) Minato The Badass hero that gave up his life for his Son and his Village and even though he put his son through Hell he believed that he would never succumb to hatred and would one day have great power and would use it for good. 6) Neji Died a sad death but he gave it up for people he cared about and he defied what he believed in the beginning of the series how he beloved that fate can't be altered, there's no such thing as free will but he died on his own accord nobody told him to give up his life for Naruto and Hinata he did that on his own accord. 5)Jiraiya He's the one who influenced Naruto the most and he died a sad and tragic death by the hand of his former student knowing that everything in his life pretty much was a failure except one thing and that was Naruto. 4) Pain/Nagato Probably one of the most tragic stories in the entire series and Pain gave off the menacing vibe that he had all this power and was the first villain that made you question was he really a Villain because he's doing this for the greater good. 3) Madara Probably one of the most Badass if not the most badass Character in the show but that's not why he was my third favorite. His character was the guy that lost everything in his life and he in turn blames the world for it and so he decides to find a Solution to fix the wrongs of the world and he would do it by any means necessary including manipulating a Mass ton of people, Abandoning his Best Friend and the Village he founded and being the main cause for a lot of tragic events that have happened. 2) Kakashi Kakashi was the person who lost everything in his life and still waled down the right path at the end of the day. His friend Obito was supposedly killed, His father committed Suicide when Kakashi was at a young age, His teacher sacrificed his life for the village and his friend Rin was killed by his own hand. Even though he might've dealt with that by murdering missing Ninja in Anbu when he joined but he never turned his back and went down the dark path and maybe at the end of the day he did find happiness. 1) Itachi The best character in Naruto. He endured so much but he never turned his back on his home. He killed everybody close to him, Brainwashed and traumatized the person he loved the most and was branded a Criminal from doing the best he could with the options he was given. The best he could stopped a war, kept the village and Hus little brother safe but he slaughtered his entire family and was pretty much miserable and alone for the rest of his life. My top 7: 7. Rock Lee/Might Guy: In many respects, I think of them as the same person. They both prove that sheer determination can trump natural talent if you put in the work necessary for it. 6. Sakura: Yes she’s an annoying hot head, but she did become as skilled in medical ninjutsu as Tsunade and was the first ninja in the show to beat a member of the Akatsuki. She also did a good job of keeping Naruto in line, especially at the beginning of the show. 5. Nagato: I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more complicated villain than him in any series. He only went bad because of so many horrible things that happened to him and lost his faith in humanity, and only did what he did because he truly desired peace for the world. In any case, he successfully wiped out Konoha and came the closest to beating Naruto one on one. 4. Gaara: He in my opinion has a better redemption story than Sasuke. Ability wise, he was always formidable, but arguably became even more powerful once Naruto showed him the importance of fighting for others instead of yourself. 3. Hinata: She’s not the strongest character by a long shot, but has any person developed more in the show from beginning to end? She started out as incredibly bashful and had no self-confidence at all, but then brings herself to put her life on the line against Pain and sucks it up in the middle of a war to help Naruto snap out of a rare funk on his part even though she just lost her cousin who she had grown very close to. She has plenty of haters out there, but ask yourself, do you really think you have the courage to do the same stuff she did if put into the same situation? 2. Naruto: Never was the sharpest knife in the drawer but made up for it through never giving up on himself or his teammates. He has an innate ability to make others want to follow him; case in point, I really didn’t like Naruto himself for the first 100 episodes (only kept watching because I really liked the other people around him) but little by little I started warming up to him because he inspires me personally to want to work harder and never stop chasing my dreams. 1. Kakashi: He does more with less. He became the sixth Hokage at the end of the show in spite of not having a tailed beast inside of him or a sharingan that still works. Can you imagine what he’d be capable of if he did have that stuff at his disposal? Most importantly, he was a sensei that played a significant role in molding the personality of the show’s main character.

Itachi never lost a fight. In the entire series. Even with lung cancer or whatever tf he had. 1. Itachi 2. Madara Uchiha: This guy destroyed every panel he was in lol. Rape face after rape face. 3. I think I'd say my top 7 are: 7. Shikamaru (He's easily one of the most relateable characters. Everyone can relate to him, he's lazy yet driven. He deals with the kinds of problems that most readers can understand and deal with. Overall he's the every mans character.) 6. Kisame (A not tragic, but likable villain. Unlike a lot of the other Akatsuki members Kisame is someone who treats his partner more like a friend then a partner. He's a guy that has always seen himself as a bad guy because of what he does as a ninja. Even to the end he looked to answer the question if he was truly a "bad guy" proving that in the end he wasn't anything less then a great ninja...and a shark.) 5. Konan (I agree about Kushina and Temari, however I think the way Konan is handled is really well done. She isn't like almost all of the other female ninjas who play a support position or need to rely on others to back them up. Konan proves that a woman can support herself just fine. Even after Nagato's death she respects what her friends wanted and doesn't hold a grudge against Naruto and goes on to be just as good of a leader as Nagato in the rain village.) 4. Tobirama (Tobirama is interesting because he basically plays the role of a good guy who is actually an inadvertent villain because of the way he segregated the Uchiha from the rest of the Leaf Village and because of himself developing jutsu like the Edo Tensi, which really sets up the issues for the entirety of the story. It's just interesting how the actions of one character can really play such a huge role in the entirety in the story, having almost as much impact in the Naruto world as Hashirama.) 3. Nagato (Nagato is interesting and if it wasn't for one fatal flaw I'd say he was my favorite character. He really projected a real sense of danger and showed that he was a true threat. His actions leading up to his fall from a hero to a villain are tragic and investing, and his fight with Naruto is arguably one of if not the best fight in the entire series with the Invasion of Pain possibly being the best arc. The only problem I have with Nagato is him magically being able to bring everyone he killed back to life, I honestly think the story would've benefited much more if the characters had remained dead.) 2. Neji (Neji has had an interesting run in the series, going from a hateable character who was redeemed by Naruto, to a powerful well respected ninja who broke free of the shackles and restrictions that had been placed on him by himself and his thoughts of destiny, to a martyr of the future who died to save his friend and cousin whom he once despised and tried to kill himself. Just watching the growth and change in Neji through the series is such a fascinating thing to me.) 1. Madara (Madara does something that many Naruto readers don't think possible. First he is a tragic character that through circumstance went down a dark path like Sauske later would. Madara as a villain though aside from being one of the only characters to post a real feeling of danger, proved that no character was safe from his power as he battered and killed a large majority of the cast before containing the juubi with in himself. And the second and biggest reason I like him is he is the only villain in Naruto to show that not everyone is just redeemable because of a talk that he has with Naruto or another character, as he dies Madara is still a villain who was not swayed by words and instead had to be put down through action unlike every other major villain in the series which had incredible weight to it in my opinion.)

My Top 7 Naruto Characters: 1) Uchiha Sasuke - A true example of a tragic fallen character and antihero. His screwed up past certainly gave him reason to be a little cold. But Sasuke always had a dark side that gradually led to his conversion to a full on antagonist who betrayed everyone who loved him. His transition from valued friend to bitter enemy is the core driving force of the series. Even from the beginning of the series, he was a talented little ninja with abilities far advanced for his age. . The level of hubris is almost Shakespearean, and Sasuke's journey between the dark and the light is a complex and entertaining one. So suck a dick haters! 2) Hatake Kakashi - He's a complex character and a laid back attitude that just exudes cool. 3) Jiraiya - Pretty much called the 'Gandalf' of the series but a lot more comical. Also died a true shinobi. 4) Tsunade - Funny and also very intimidating when angry. She's a really good Hokage. 5) Nara Shikamaru - Sure he's a lazy ass but he can sure be a worthy leader and pretty much the smartest character of the series. 6) Hyuga Hinata - An almost interesting character who served as the perfect love interest to the main protagonist and would have made a better heroine in the series. 7) Namikaze Minato - The Yellow Flash of the Leaf represents everything what a true shinobi and hokage stand for.

1. Sasuke Uchiha- In the beginning he was strong willed, had a temper, wanted power and to do everything alone, But still be loyal enough to sacrifice himself for his friends, Which I relate to alot. Then I enjoyed to see his plunge from the genius prodigy to the fallen angel type character that he became, How his mind broke and how much strain he had to go through, He probably had the hardest life of the series compared to everyone else. ( He also taught me young in life, That if you want something, You need the power not just the will to do it.) 2. Jiraiya the Gallant- He is what a every ninja should aspire to be, Very powerful in raw power, yet also having great intelligence and has a varied amount of jutsu. He only wanted peace in world and is one of the main reasons this world saw it. I loved his philosophy and overall character, As he was a great person overall, he wasn't perfect. (He taught me how to fail with a smile) 3. Rock Lee- Though I don't like his character in a serious sense, I enjoy him as a goofball and what all gentlemen should aspire to be. Plus seeing how someone with no talent at all becoming a splendid ninja was very interesting. (He taught me that hard work is needed for anything important and worth it. ) 4. Naruto Uzumaki- The essence of hope in the series, he is the hero, the one who had nothing and built a foundation of greatness with. Even with his special lineage, It only helped him in his final fights, and like Lee, and Sasuke, Had to work his ass off for over two years and more(Including part one and two) to get most of his strength. 5. Madara Uchiha- Best villain in the series for me, He was incredibly strong as the second strongest uchiha without any tailed beasts and senju dna haxes .He was smart, sadistic and unlike many villains in shounen, had a purpose and dream behind it all .(We both love committing violence(Though unlike him I don't start it) and fights)

My favorite character has always been Obito, even before the unmasking. I just liked him becuase how different he was from the rest clan, that fact that he seem more like Naruto threw me off. 6) Obito- His story makes me so sad, he reminds me so much of Naruto which is probably why it was hard to see him before and after. His only downfall was that he loved too much. 5)Gaara- His story is really sad but despite this he was able to turn his whole life around after meeting Naruto. 4)Sasuke- I have conflicting feelings about Sasuke, I recognize his merits as a character but imo he's not better than Naruto because of his actions. I'm glad he redeemed himself but I'm wondering if the tables were turned would he have gone to the lengths Naruto did to save him. Despite this I know that he lost so much which would make anyone go insane, I'm glad his heart was healed by the end. 3)Haku- Because he could never bring himself to kill anybody due to his gentle nature. 2)Might Guy- Because he has a good heart and teaches his students to never give up. Not to mention this mofo is super OP against madara 2) Jeriaya- He's tied with Guy because he's so kind and bad ass and for all the reasons sawyer mentioned. 1)Naruto- because he taught me and constantly reminds me that there is hope even when a situation seems dismal. Me personally, I've always thought Rock Lee could have been an amazing supporting character, because he had a great underdog complex. More than Naruto ever did, because Naruto despite being hated (something Rock Lee went through as well but on a minor scale) he could at least use ninjutsu. I thought Rock Lee had one of the highest potentials of any character in terms of story. And this is backed up by the fact that let's be honest, partly due to his touching back story during this fight, Rock Lee Vs Gaara, is an anime fight classic, and I feel they never gave Rock Lee as big a spotlight as I thought he could have had. Especially since in that fight they built him up to be the shit, and for some reason he was just not as good. And I'm talking about Shippuden (however you spell it) not immediately after the injuries. That I understand. But in Shippuden, we never see him shine like that again. And that kind of makes it feel like they wasted his character after building him up like that.

My Top 7 characters would have to be: 7)Tsunade- I always loved her character from beginning to end. She suffered the death of her beloved little brother and her one true love. Despite that, she eventually moved on to protect the things that mattered. Also, her drinking and gambling habits are hilarious to me. 6)Jiraiya- Just like Tsunade, when Jiraiya was introduced, he immediately became a character that I wholeheartedly enjoyed. He's was a pervert but he was very wise, kind, strong, and was quite open-minded for his age. His relationship as a father figure and a teacher to Naruto was very nice to see and I always got a kick out of seeing Jiraiya and Naruto together. I was pissed and saddened when he died but I'm more pissed that Kishimoto decided to let Orochimaru live instead of Jiraiya.(I hate Orochimaru). 5)Naruto-The first time I saw Naruto was through a commercial before it started airing in the U.S. The commercial advertised a blonde, spiky haired kid who was a ninja apparently and that caught my interest. The first episode showed me something I had never seen before in a tv show during my childhood: a boy with no parents, all alone and hated by everyone in his village because of what he is. It pretty much established his suffering and I thought to myself that this is a pretty strong kid to go through that bullshit throughout the start of his life. As the show went on, Naruto grew stronger and more smarter. What else can I say about Naruto that hasn't been said before? Naruto is a great character, despite what haters may say. For me, the number one thing I admire most about Naruto is how strong spirited he remained throughout his years of receiving hatred. 4)Rock lee- He was eccentric at first and very strange but he soon showed in the chunin exams that he's a good friend and a legitimate badass. Kishimoto really fucked up by not letting Lee take on some more action in part 2. Watching Lee fight reminded me a lot of DBZ and that, in my opinion, was a good thing. 3)Killer Bee- His rap is hilarious. Can anybody tell me of another rapping ninja in existence? Killer Bee is one of the few unique characters that stand out in a good way. He's a badass who can wield seven blades with the use of his joints. He's a pretty cool guy, considering his brother is a total A-hole compared to Bee. Overall, everytime I saw Killer Bee, he always put a smile on my face. He's just an enjoyable character. 2)Sasuke- Despite acting like a psychopath on having PMS, Sasuke only really killed villains. He defeated Deidara, Itachi, and Danzo. I never quite understood why people thought Sasuke deserved death. He never did anything that crossed the line. My reasons for liking Sasuke are pretty much the same reasons as Sawyer7mage. Sasuke is a smart motherfucker who gets shit done and to me, he's an interesting character compared to any of the other Uchihas. I always loved part 1 Sasuke though. Those moments where he tries to act cool but Naruto does something that makes him lose his cool were just funny. 1)Hinata- It was interesting and nice to see that Naruto did indeed have someone rooting for him after all. She was a shy character who can barely form eye contact with Naruto yet she managed to give Naruto her support. Hinata's proud failure speech was one of the influencial things that have stayed in my mind ever since then. What one of the things that make a good character is the message that they convey to the readers or viewers. Hinata pretty much teaches you that it's okay to be a failure as long as keep trying. In the words of Thomas Edison, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." Nobody is perfect and we all fail at something every once in a while but just because you fail, it doesn't mean you have to quit. As a shy boy myself, Hinata taught me that shy people can be strong. Hinata is a very relatable character. Not only that, but she's also mentally stronger than Naruto himself, the guy who inspired her. Hinata was crying her eyes out from seeing her own brother die in front of her eyes yet she is the one who brings comfort to Naruto instead of the other way around. Hinata is a strong, independent, kind, and beautiful character. She has never asked for help and yet always puts others before her. Despite her clan, her family, mistreating her, she never went batshit insane like certain Uchihas, never held a grudge against anybody, and always moved forward. People tend to bash Hinata because her character is heavily influenced by Naruto yet there are plenty of characters who have been changed or influenced because of Naruto like Gaara, Sasuke, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Obito, etc. There's nothing wrong with somebody drawing inspiration from another to become stronger. Hinata learned of Naruto's ninja way and applied it to her. As a result, she became much stronger in many ways in the end. I could go on forever but the bottomline is, that Hinata is my favorite character in the series and I'm glad to see how far she's come from the beginning of the series to the last Naruto movie. Her development is one of the best things I've ever seen. Characters that deserve some mentioning: Tobirama, Kushina, Ino, Hashirama, Gaara, Kid Obito

I can't really form a list in order, but some of my favorites are: Sakura Itachi Sasuke Deidara And the one that needs explanation here is probably Sakura. I love her because she is just a regular girl, no tailed beast or clan ability or anything of the sorts. She worked hard to keep up with Naruto and Sasuke, and even if she isn't on their level in power, she is the worlds top medical ninja and surpassed a sanin at the age of 17. She is a very emotional character and you can call her ugly all you want, but she isn't. She got a lot of male attention in the show and she isn't spineless. Sure in part 1 she was weak and her only purpose was to keep the bonds of team 7 not fight and heal. Out of all the characters, she is most human and for me she is like a role model.

That doesn't mean you had to predict what really happened, but everybody should've known that somebody who was seen as calm and as level-headed as Itachi wouldn't just randomly kill every single family member that he has other than his little brother. It would make no sense. If he was some maniac(say Hidan for example) then it would've made more sense. Itachi Uchiha, the man who held the weight of pain, hatred, and the despair of thousands of people all by himself, and had his life mapped out from the age of 13 in how he was going to die, and everything he was going to do up until that point. When he was brought back and ended up telling Sasuke how much he loved him the feels were so feel. I've never seen a character that was represented as an enigma, to an enemy, to being a tragic hero in the end. Itachi gets the utmost respect in my book, and will forever be known as the realest ninja ever in Naruto.

Nice list sawyer. Here is my list 7. Jiraiya- ultimately he shaped up the story with the books nagato and naruto 6. Hinata - this is just because she's one of the nicest characters in naruto and a touching background 5. Itachi - one of the best background stories. I loved how he was introduced as a really dark villain then appeared to be the opposite. 4. Shikamaru - for the exact reason explained in this video 3. Top characters in my opinion: 1.Asuma- I feel like he really had a meaningful place in the story, especially for character development. He helped ino-shika-cho into a real team, gave the kings(children) a meaning, helped naruto with wind style, had an awesome death and a good filler arc. 2.Kakashi- Made team 7 what it is, even though he didn't even want to be a part of it at first. 3.Jiraiya- Someone Naruto needed in his life to guide him, also was the first one to help him control/detain the 9-tails and gave the series a timeskip reason. 4.Kisame- No tailed beast shark ftw. Also had great funny and badass scenes with Gai. 5.Madara- Was the person that made you feel like nothing can stop him. Annihilating an entire battlefield while keeping it as a first bite for a breakfast of death. Also maniacal smiles. 6.Temari- Tornado fan scythe ferret chick awesomeness. Felt like she actually regretted being evil sometimes. Also for making an actual natural relationship with Shikamaru instead of really slight instances or fandom wants like with some characters. 7.Shikamaru- Being able to control an entire army suddenly just after your dad died and then again after you yourself almost die. Really reletable with his laziness instead of tons of energy happiness or death emptiness.

Hmmm... 7. Neji: At first I hated him, but then I realized how much change he has made both to himself and others. I didn't want him to die at all, especially only for the sake of bringing Hinata and Naruto together. 6. Tenten: The two dimensional female of the rookies is fleshed out quite a bit during Rock Lee's own series, and even though the writing was only for comedy, I like her personality, really much. 5. Hinata: I want to hug her so baaaad. She worked so haaaaard. I wish Kishimoto didn't make her into a rambling "Naruto-kun" machine, because she actually had so much potential to make a series of her own. 4. Sakura: Oh my god. I loooooove her character development. I love her strength and the sacrifices she made. I have to admit Kishimoto destroyed her strength by making her a housewife in the last chapter. 3. Hey Sawyer ^^ While I probably don't fully agree with the list (I don't have one), I do agree with most you say about the characters. Good job with this video, you really made a solid list. There's only a few things I have something to say about. When it comes to the ending, I don't really like how Sasuke just reminisced about the past and did a little bit of self-reflection before returning to Naruto's side. It felt too rushed and for me, that made it feel quite OOC. I felt as though Sasuke had already made up his mind. I would have preferred if he and Naruto had argued more about what is right for the Shinobi world instead of fight, pass out, and "poof" - it's alright. As for Hashirama, I think he is wiser than Madara, just not as clever.... not as witty, if that makes sense.

My top 7: 7) Minato Namikaze -- I love his style, the flash, basically. He was a really good hokage, the hero who saved the world once. Plus that scene with Naruto and the kyuubi was very touching to me. 6) Haku -- way back to the orignal Naruto series, his story hit me so hard. He suffered from prejudice in a very young age and holy shit his father was the reason why his mother died. He was very loyal to Zabuza yet he had strong beliefs, he was extremely soft-hearted. 5) Kakashi -- mysterious, one of the thinkers, Naruto's mentor, lightning ability (*_*), one eyed sharingan, had a really sad past (with his dad but most especially with Obito and Rin), 4) Sasuke -- suffered a tragic and traumatizing past, knowing that the brother you admired and loved the most killed your entire family then hating that brother for the first half of your life seeking for revenge then realizing that what your brother actually just wanted was to protect you, that's some experience right there. I would have broken down too... So you guys who think he's emo or something, well, he's suffered a lot. 3) Naruto -- because he's the protagonist.. he was discriminated, he felt all alone, no one wanted to be his friend, but he managed to achieve his dream to become the hokage and surrounded himself with a lot of trusted friends. He's that hopeful guy, always never give up. 2) Itachi -- super smart, super cool, super loving brother, super awesome. i hated him for the most part of the story yet when his real story was revealed, i just freaking love him. The scene with him saying "I will love you forever" to Sasuke just made love him more. Even though he love Sasuke the most, he made Sasuke hate him in order to protect Sasuke. He went through a lot of things just to protect Sasuke. That's family love right there. 1) Shikamaru -- I loved him since Chuunin exams. super strategist, thinker, LOYAL to his friends, he's so awesome.. he's lazy but when he needs to do things, he does it fast and with suave. *_* Honorable mentions: Jiraiya, Orochimaru, Gaara, Zabuza, Kabuto, Sasori, Rock Lee, Pain, Neiji, Hinata..

7) Kakashi- Kakashi was a real prodigy as a kid; graduating the academy at age 5, beconing Chunin at age 6, Jounin around age 11-12 (Obito was Chunin at 11) and was leader of Anbu around 12-13 as he was 14 when Obito attacked Konoha. Kakashi was affected by the deaths of those close to him, first being his dad which made Kakashi put rules and the mission first, then Obito's and Rin's death which made Kakashi depressed for a long time be he adopted some of Obito's characteristics such as being late and putting team over anything else. He watched over his team and would know what they were thinking after awhile ( such as when he explained what Naruto and Sasuke felt to Jiraiya after the rooftop fight or when he's training Naruto or during the war when team 7 was together). He is wise and greatly respected by many top tier ninjas such as different Kages and some Akatsuki members. Tsunade even said Kakashi was Hokage material to Jiraiya before Jiraiya went to Rain village and the Kages all agreed to Kakashi being worthy of being the 6th Hokage after Danzo's true nature came to light. 6) Minato- we may not have seen much of him but got enough to know he truly loved his son and village and died in order to protect them. His reputation is so big that Naruto was given Kushina's last name so Minato's enemies wouldn't go after Naruto even though the Uzumaki clan was nearly wiped out due to others fearing their sealing Jutsus prowess. His name alone made Bee shemble while Bee base is Kage level plus have the 8 tails Bijuu power in him. Minata was extremely intelligent as Jiraiya said they haven't had a genius like Minato since Minato and we had the likes of Itachi, Sasuke, Neji, and Shikamaru all come after Minato. He's the only one shown to single handily deduce Obito's Kamui during combat just by seeing it once and further broke it down seeing it a second time. 5) Jiraiya- much of what Sawyer said but I'll also would like to add that Jiraiya trained Nagato, Yahiko, Konan, Minato, and Naruto who all became extremely strong ninjas and he tried to instill his view on the world onto them to try and see if his students can do what he couldn't, find an answer to peace. Jiraiya's teaching were on point but outside forces such as Danzo (convinced Hanzo that Yahiko would turn on him) and Obito (who manipulated Nagato after Danzo interferes with Rain village matters). Eventually it took Jiraiya's last student, Naruto, to show Nagato that Jiraiya's way was the right way (Minato also helped Naruto a bit). Minato is the student Jiraiya held above all, thinking of him as a son. Jiraiya also played a part in protecting the village from time to time even though he is no longer duty bound to, went out looking for Tsunade when Konoha needed a Hokage and Tsunade even said Hiruzen always meant for Jiraiya to become Hokage after him. 4) Tobirama- he grew up in a time of constant war and was raised to hate the Uchihas but he didn't really hate them as he told Sasuke; he knew how dangerous they can become as he seen many lose control and go wild when they lost something they love (this hatred gives them power in the form of the Sharingan and MS). Had he hated them he would simply had them killed off but instead he sectioned them off from the rest of the village and gave them the job of the police which is something he thought they would be good at. Tobirama's job was to protect the whole village, not one or two clans; Hashirama hoped the boundaries of the clans would be tear down and the village as a whole would be a family. This is something Tobirama said he tried to carry on for Hashirama while also maintains the peace and building on for the future. Tobirama created the Anbu black opts, Academy, and Chunin exams (which not only measures a village strength but help prevent war as Hiruzen stated in part 1, as well as strength the villages by rising worthy ninjas to Chunin level). 3) Hashirama- The one who saw a better future for his clan as a kid and worked hard to try and make that dream a reality. Even though he had the power to kill Madara over their many fights, he would let his old friend live while trying to make peace. Hashirama even had Bijuus under his control and never used any of them against Madara, he would have to of had some while he fought Madara before the treaty as he became Hokage after forming Konoha and couldn't just leave to go Bijuu hunting plus he stated he had all but Shukaku which Suna already had. He was strong enough mentailty to kill Madara; sometimes killing is needed as Madara wasn't the Madara he became friends with and was a danger to the world. He didn't care about power as he was freely giving away Bijuu's just so there can be peace between the 5 nations. 2) Shikamaru- He started out as a slacker but after failing his first mission as Chunin/leader of the team, he wanted to work harder so none of his teammates would get hurt again such as Neji, Kiba/Akumaru, Choji, and Naruto. As Sawyer said, Shikamaru had his own arc where he had character development focused mostly on him. It was actually what Shikamaru told his dad, Shikaku, about how being around Naruto makes him want to follow him, made Shikaku allow Naruto to go after Nagato alone even though Naruto was stated to exhausted and Inochi didn't want Naruto to go alone. Shikamaru had even more growth after his father died as he became the leader of the alliance and helped kept their spirits up which made Tamari say he would make a great Hokage. Shikamaru is pretty much Naruto's 2nd bestfriend (who I see is there for Naruto as a friend, not saying Naruto considers him as his 2nd bestfriend). 1) Gaara- has pretty much the saddest past in Naruto. Resulted in his mom's death, feared and hated by the village his whole childhood, dad constantly sends assassins after him, was told he was hated by the only person he thought cared about him (his uncle), didn't know the point of living so found the reason in killing, being influenced by Shukaku who Gaara thought was his mom plus he can't sleep or else Shukaku takes over. This all happened since his birth by the way. After meeting Naruto he began to think it was possible to have what Naruto have finally gotten; people who care about you. Gaara started to have better control over himself after losing to Naruto as shown when we see him in Sasuke retrieval arc and he worked hard to earn the forgiveness of everyone in his village and devote his life to make up for all he's done by becoming the Kazekage. After the 2 1/2 years timeskip the villagers all loved Gaara and would risk their lives to go rescue him, he is also the one to tell the Kages how wrong their old way of thinking was by saying he doesn't have time for it, that he needs things done now. It was Gaara who gave a speech that United the 5 nation's ninjas as they were fighting amongst themselves. Gaara at age 19 had great wisdom and understood the pull of darkness and how to use his own past to try to help others see that he knows how they feel (worked with the alliance but failed with Sasuke who chose hatred). Gaara pretty much was worst off than Naruto but obtained what Naruto wanted to much faster. I believe is due to Gaara being more mentally grown than Naruto as villagers wanted Naruto as Hokage after he beat Pein.

1. Naruto Uzumaki- my favorite character ever since I started watching the show. Always loved his motivation to become hokage even though no one believed on him early only( excluding Hinata for obvious reasons). Thanks to him I now have the will to never give up. 2. Minato- Easily one of my favorites. Straight from the start he was a badass with ftg, and one of the most funniest with him naming jutsus. 3. Jiraiya- It's pervy sage, the on we all grew up with and loved. He was somewhat a fatherly figure to Naruto, and helped him set his future out. 4. Madara- A straight badass. Not giving a single fuck what happens until he achieves what he wants. 5.Itachi- A hero who played the role of the villain. He did everything he could to help Sasuke become stronger, and thanks to him, Sasuke did. 6. Hinata- One of the bestly developed females in the show. Her always fainting when she was with Naruto and giving up easily, to not fainting anymore and get married with Naruto; now has great confidence to do anything even sacrificing herself knowing it'll save Naruto. 7. Gai- Always hilarious with his youth talk, but when he gets serious he's a beast.

The amount of people that come onto his video's and Naruto videos in general just to share their unwanted hatred of characters (usually Sakura, and Sasuke to a certain degree) go suck a carrot, no one cares, stop thinking your opinions are facts.
