Crusader was an financial succesvul record for saxon, but one, the many of the olad fans tend to hate - I acually like it a lot, it´s much more varied in styles without beeing too poppy - that hapened later on the terrible Desteny record, the only saxon to skip for me.... The still deliver great record every two years. Maybe try something of the later period "Call to Arms" would be a cool one, or, if you love the epic stuff "Queen Of Hearts" from the great batteling Ram record

Thank you for the suggestions I will check them out. I did like the first 4 Saxon albums alot. From what I have read they are kinda like the Uriah Heep of the NWOBHM bands

@@apocketfulofheep Maybe without the Keys ;-) Keybords in Saxan are only for effects and atmosphere. But they were always more on the hard rock than on the metal Side. Even if the get hard and fast it´s more that Rock´n´Roll of Motorhead - Songs like "stand your ground "or "They played Rock´n´Roll" (wich is an Lemmy Tribut)

Crusader is an epic song, most fans that are not fans of the album readily admit how kick ass this song is. I happen to like this album as well.
