hehe I'm way younger than 50 and I've seen Saxon on Bang Your Head!!! Festival 2005. They were fucking good, though I like the extremer kinds of metal better. But Saxon & Co are the roots of metal and for that I think we all should give them thanks

since when was maiden anymore biker friendly than SAXON ,i don't think you can say the band have blown their music career- more like greedy unshrewd bastards in the record companies nearly did it, but SAXON have worked their way up again after a lot of hard work, maiden have just been lucky with money men behind them, SAXON ARE A GREAT BAND.

I thought they were better than Priest who had a pretty shitty set. Priest were loads better the last time i saw them before download! Saxon's set was fucking awesome though, one of the highlights of the weekend. The crowd were absolutely LOVING it!

ha ha! saxon vs IRON MAIDEN conference vs PREMIERSHIP! saxon were from barnsley and were never cool! they sold out after 3 biker freindly albums and they bombed . i saw them 3 times in the 90's and they were poor .one show was in front of about 150 people!! saxon are a great example of how to blow a music career!
