I'll bet not even 1 in 10 techs know how to set this mechanism up. They should all watch this. Nice job.

I've worked on a 30M once, and I watched your original video on them about 25 times as I was doing it. It was essentially a COA, but still no chance I ever would have had of getting it in decent shape without a guide. Also, these horns are one of the only examples I can think of where something was taken, made significantly more complicated, and it's actually worth it. Yes the Selmer design is beautiful because of it's simplicity, and it's a fantastic design. But these are incredible and remarkable for the unique ways that they tackle the very real problems of adjustment material compression, leverage, key fit, and so on. Love these horns.

Nice in the weeds video! Those are so cool, I love the mechanics of it. Nice pop on your pads and regulation.

I own a 30M and I wish I had a tech with your knowledge and ability in my area. Also - do you know where I can get those tiny locking screws? Some are missing from my horn.

I own a Ténor Couesnon Monopole (french brand around 1960) which has the same mechanism for the g#. It also is disengageable. Are you interested if I send you some pictures ?
