MERRY CHRISTMAS! Also you should do a figure 8 loop on the island. Two loops going one way on one side of the Island and another on the other side but have them both meet at a couple stations going down the middle of the island. This way you can have some overlapping lines without overlapping tracks so you do not need to worry about the trains running into each other or causing jams in the tunnels.

It's maybe a little late, but if you're building a busy core of your city, you might want to have multi-story parking lots just to get parked cars off the side of the road.
@Soccercrazyfanatic22 Жыл бұрын
Something that could be cool for that island is to take a couple of pedestrian bridges over to it from the pedestrian roundabouts and then make it into a nice park for people to walk around and enjoy views of the city at a distance

Few tips for Ya Biffa 1 - When zoning on the corner (or anywhere really) - You can easily tell where entrance(s) will be by observing where are gaps in the temporary wall around building when it's raising (if there's a gap on each side - it will be corner building). Also height of the future building is easy to see by the height of a crane used while building is raising. 2 - When using line tool - If You want to place trees (objects in general) as close as possible - just use first setting on the left (fence mode) - works great i.e. for hedge look from bushes. Loving last episode's one tile challenge - cool idea for videos every once a while. Thanks for great content, keep it up and keep'em coming. Merry Xmas !!!

I love the fence mode. Only gripe is it for some reason does not start where you click. It starts a half a node or so after. The ocd in me drives crazy. But love the tool.

@@neonada.official You know me so well don't you? Yes I do know the difference between OCD (Obsessive Compulsion Disorder) and Anal Retentive, which people confuse or refer to as "OCD" (myself included sometimes). Unfortunately I have both, one much more than the other. I am more anal than obsessive. How about you? Superiority Complex? Or Savior Complex? I mean, you're telling me I am/am not... or trying to calm me down... lol.

One thing I've learnt from CS1 with putting metro tracks underwater is, you're better off putting them above ground when crossing water. The depths you need to go to and then rising out again, without the horky-borky tunnels, makes for the type of shenanigans that recedes the hairline. So instead of trying to go like -40m or more for that section underwater (relative to sea level of 0m), I rather put them over the top with +12m and then have them go back underground when you've reached land. That way you only have to worry about that 12m difference rather than the 40m or more.

That bridge near the Figura Building is crying out to be a collector, connected to an arterial that comes from the highway and goes to the opposite side of the river you're planning to expand through the far side of the outer bigger island, the one that is further away from the little ones. Those little islands in front of the residential area should definitevely be a park of some sort. Can you immagine living on either side of the river and waking up with the view of a park in the middle of the river? Lovely.

Yay for subway! Some of these depots are silly big, I suspect there will be folks building more reasonably sized ones once allowed. There's a bus depot near me, and it's one of the big hubs in a major city with a ton of buses using it as base - and it's no where near what you've had to build to get a faction of the buses. Also yay on unlcocking the disease centre.

One thing I'd like to see done is that the parking counts as street access. Why? Because many comercial buildings have their parking space in front of the store so putting a car park and then have a commercial building zoned behind it would be pretty nice, imo.

Hey Biffa-man, when you're using the paths to change the zoning, you can't let the path get to close to the roads to the point of creating a crossroad, otherwise it changes the zoning on that road, and later when you delete the path you can have some changes again. Tip from FewCandy i believe. Peeeeeaace! Happy Holidays

The 1-tile video was great! I love to see more on that city, and the style is as narrative as it was also really nice for future use. About this video, the traffic lights you where fixing in the beginning (round the 4 minute mark) where set-up dreadfully in efficient to my eyes. Only traffic was straight on vehicles and cross pedestrian and still it was like 4 or 5 fases in which most of the vehiclkes would stand still waiting for 2 people to cross half way at most. I guess what i am saying is shouldn't you be able to set it up as 2 fases only? 1 for pedestrians everywhere and 1 for both directions of straight on traffic? I am guessing that would increase efficiency on the junction by 50-60%
