In Russia, we avenged Cote d'Ivoire. We call it "Кот-д'Ивуар" not "Берег слоновой кости", so instead of translating from french, we use the right transcription. However we call United States of America "Соединённые Штаты Америки" not "Юнайтед Стейтс оф Америка" - translating from english instead of using transcription. Sorry, Kiribati, we can't write "Кирибати" and read "Кирибас", we must choose one

Reading "United States of America" Transliterated into Cyrillic was a really bizarre, even through you are right, it's a similar principle. To be fair, the "United States of America" is like the proper name. Imagine if we had to call it "Rossiyskaya Federatsiya" instead of Russia, that would be weird. But Eswatini?
