This experimental film was born in 2018 when three ideas collided in my head. I was 1. bored with polished reenactment documentaries, 2. missing the fly on the wall exploration of random people and 3. had the realization that a smart phone can replace the typical crew. So I tried to make a film 'out of nothing' as an editing challenge, by following several people for a year in 2019.

I really appreciate how honest and raw it all felt. Everybody has their own battles to fight and it feels kind of calming to know that I'm not alone in this but just another human trying to make sense of it all. Thank you for putting in the effort to bring their stories to us, now I feel like I want to hear what the others who were not chosen had to tell about their lives. Best of luck to all of you out there

I haven't pursued any relationships because I'm aware of how they change me and cause my bonds and ties to recalibrate. I fear the look on my family's faces when they see I care about someone else more than them, and have become exponentially more different from them than I have already become. I see that these people are about my age and have all become something greatly different than the way their high school friends remember them. This gives me courage and clarity. At some point you have to let the past go.

I'm subscribed for the informational videos (you are brilliant at breaking down complex concepts) - however when I saw this, I ended up watching it all the way through. This almost felt like the antidote to the problems with social media these days. Social media is full of polished, fake, unrealistic representations of everyone's lives. If you watch someone like Casey Neistat for a while, the video content is great - but eventually makes you feel depressed as you are not living 'that life'. The reality is, when you listen to his podcast - even he isn't living 'that life' - it's a fake representation of his life including only the good bits / bits he wanted to choregraph for a vlog. In your short documentary, you showed a real, raw, unfiltered view on people's love and life. Each story unique in their own way - nice work and keep it up. (Also to the people in the vid - hope it all works out in the end, Merry Christmas all).

Wow, I remember watching your cipher video series and totally forgot I was subbed. Gotta love the work and effort that went into this video. Real people with real problems, but it certainly was a good method for them to vent and get a grasp on reality. Reminds me that no matter how bad you got it there's always someone who has it worse.

Great Documentary! Best of luck and success to all the people present in the documentary and those who were not chosen. It is good to see that we are not alone with our struggles and that we have friends, family and significant others that we can rely on and be happy with. I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year, that you will stay healthy and safe. Much love

To all the perfect people in this documentary: it gets easier to deal with but then you get old and your parts start sagging and your back hurts all the time. So, try and enjoy what you have instead of worrying away all your youth. No matter how old you are, you are older than you were yesterday. Stahp worrying before yesterday was your last day.

this makes me really want to share part of me with the world, not that it would be too interesting, I guess I both want to share things that I learned and I think it's worth to share and also I want to know from others what they think, if my life is normal or if people notice something different, if my worries and problems are shared or not, Idk, it's difficult to put into words, which is probably the biggest reason why I feel this way
