Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do.

I came upon this video at a very important time. My family lost our beloved Golden Retriever, Shea, just last week. There are so many emotions thundering around inside me that I can't focus on anything for more than a few minutes. This video helped gain some clarity. Thank you.

To all of you who have lost non-human loved ones, I know the pain all too well. The pain will never go away, but in time will become more tolerable. Someday, maybe not soon, tears will turn to smiles as we remember those who have shared their lives & love with us. They have taught me to believe in the hereafter, & I know they will be there to greet me when my time comes, because it wouldn't be heaven without them. Thank you for this, my dog is 18 and has been in my life since she was 6 months old and I know her life is coming to an end soon. I have never lost something so close and near my heart that I know it will tear me apart. I dont know how to cope with that type of pain and it hurts to even knowing that day is near. I dont know how to go through it and this helps what you said.

@aaron swenson Aaron, in 2004 I lost a parrot I had grown up with for 32 years. In 2007, I lost my macaw I had lived with for 16. Not a day goes by that I don't feel their presence. Please remember, as long as you hold them in your heart, they're never truly gone. If you believe in an afterlife then know, someday you will be reunited. I must say, I started cyring immediately. It is difficult to hold back the tears. The pictures with the words and music grab at your heart. What a beautiful song and a beautiful video. I like all the words that you could read along with the song as well. I cried through the entire song as I read the words on the screen. Every word is absolutely true on how I feel about my four-legged furry son, Titan. I had no choice but to euthanize him because of terminal cancer on November 9th 2020. It's been almost 2 months and I have not made it through one day without crying my heart out. Titan was my best friend and soulmate. He was a 120 lb Rottweiler. He was very handsome, extremely intelligent, very funny like a comedian, loyal and faithful, very protective but not vicious. He was very well-balanced. Great judge of character. Half the time I called him Titan and the other half the time I called him son. He was a gentle giant and he was my LOVE BUG!!! I am retired so we got to spend 98% of our time together and for that I'm very grateful. We had so much fun together. My heart and soul feel like they are shattered. My body, mind and Spirit feel out of balance. This is the fourth time I've had to go through this and I understand that with time it will get better. But at this point in time I have no choice but to endure it. The hardest decision I've ever had to make is the one to euthanize my best friend. The pain that followed his passing is the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. I am a extreme dog lover. I am grateful for my faith in God and for my wonderful wife to help me through this grieving process. I'm battling severe depression because my life is so very different now. Once again, thank you so much for the beautiful video and song and the words that appeared on the screen. God bless you.

I am coming to terms with the loss of my miniature schnauzer Sniffy. I miss him so much and I am so grateful for the long life he shared in my family. This video helped me a lot. It showed me where I need to go from here. It showed me that its okay to love another dog. Best of all, it reminded me of how great of a dog Sniffy was and solidified my memories of him. Thank you so much for that awesome montage of our furry friends and beautiful poem. I had to put my cat down this past thursday due to lymphoma, and it is so incredibly painful. I think that the poem on your video has helped me to feel a bit better as that is how our pets must feel about us ;) I may also look into a pet loss support group. I had to put my dog down Friday, August 13 and it was the hardest day ever. Just seeing them and on the outside he looked happy but you just know the right thing to do is to let them sleep and finally rest. Thanks, and I'm sorry for your loss as well, Apollo was a great dane, he had bloat which is common with them. Vet did surgery, said everthing went great, then the next day he passed, with the vet saying he wasnt sure what happend. Just so sad..and out of the blue..he was 6

What a beautiful tribute! I found my first cat when I was five. She died 14 years later. My mom found Pee Wee. She lived 18 yrs and died in 2005. I lost Rhinelander six months later then Mandy last summer. I have memorial pictures on my wall. Now I have Mitch, Prince, Smudge, Mr. Mrow, Mr. Fluffy, Kitten, Bandit and Jack. its amazing too me how animals much smaller then us, can come into our lives and warm it more then anoy person could ever do. yday i nursed my hamster for a long 3 hours until she peacefully gave up in my hands. Saying goodbye really is the hardest thing too do. I just lost Hero yesterday. He passed away when I was at work, so I wasn't even there when it happened. He was so energetic and happy when I last saw him a couple of days before that, so I was in total shock when it happened....I still am. He loved to swim. He would also walk around the edge of the poool and come behind me to put his head on my shoulder. I have three dogs. I lost one of them last May due to cancer and I lost another one this morning. I had a inkling of when the first was going to pass away because of the disease. But for my dog that passed away this morning was total shocker. She was fine yesterday, but didn't wake up this morning. He growed up with me... Whenever I see somebody playing with his pet, tears just roll through my face... I'll never stop mourning him.. He was little pup.. Though he's gone.Nothing will be the same without my little friend.. My all life friend... Rest in peace buddy; we will soon meet again And never be departed.
