Rochester was a safe haven and place of refuge and happiness during a turbulent time. You're emotional bc you felt happy there. However, if you really think about it, that safe haven and happiness is Jenn. She could've been anywhere. It's gonna hit Jenn differently bc she's had a lot of emotions living there. As much as she's gonna miss it, she's probably looking forward to NC a bit differently. Sage the house if you feel like it might help. IF you truly miss it, you can always buy a place somewhere fun and rent it out 80% of the time as an air bnb. I think all of us have a great feeling about this move and we all wish you the best. Once you guys are settled and that house starts feeling like your home again, it's gonna be amazing. Safe travels! The cats are super cute!

I understand, Jacob. I have such a hard time saying goodbye to my favorite places as well. Over the years had to part ways with my Nana & Pops place, my Mom's and most recently my Aunt's - which was the last real family home we visited frequently. Lots of memories live in the walls of a home, and its really difficult to turn your back and never return. This one hit home for me, man. Hello Jacob. I wish you and Jen a safe and enjoyable move of her stuff down to N. Carolina. Love watching your videos daily. I enjoyed your visit to Marvin's, that's my neck of the woods. I knew Marvin Yagoda, I would visit the museum. I video taped alot of the things there for him back in 2005 or 06. He did a tour for my video that I made for him. Good memories of Marvin. Hey Jacob been watching you for at least what 2 years before and then that one day you were getting a plate in Rochester my wife and I were sooo surprised because we did NOT expect you to be literally in town! Even some jenny Penny videos we recognized locations minutes away! Im also a KZbin channel but its synthesizer related haha wildly different than what you do. Changes always are scary specially for neurodivergent and autistic people, myself I was dead scared when I left my country and all my family behind, it was in 2018 and I remember the previous days before the trip, I was anxious and sad at tye same, but I remember those days I kept watching your route 66 videos and it helped me a lot to divert my mind ans soothe my sadness, its already five years now I'm in good place now, still struggling with life, but much better than five years ago, thanks Jacob for cheering us with amazing videos and let us be part of your personal journey.✌🏾

Be sure to take their old litter box and be very careful where to put it in your house on a permanent basis. They have very good memories, and if you move it a second time, they will go where they went the first time. I use my little dog's pee pads in my cat carriers in case of an accident under the cat blanket. No matter where we live we leave a little piece of our heart behind. My biggest suggestion is making sure when you get gas to find stations where you can pull through and don't need to do 3 point turns with the moving van. Made that mistake once - didn't hit anything, but it was hairy!

I'm a little surprised that you are wistful about leaving Rochester, too. I know that you are very excited about getting Jenn to North Carolina and starting your home together, there. Your house is going to be your own personal museum. Neither of you has to conform to what anyone else thinks a house should look like. Have a safe trip.
