Alex ask Enterprise if they can Get you the F450 pickup. The commercial Tires should keep you from replacing tires. Plus the F450 has a Wide track front axle and will help you with turning around because it has a smaller turning radius.

These hot shot drivers are not going to want to pay more money for a truck with a lower tow rating and less mileage. We all love the 19.5's, tight turning radius, and more stable truck but it boils down to dollar per mile and the F-350 wins there.

I have a side business where I make custom magnetic signs for trucks, construction company's , That white sign looks cheesy to me.. What I do is measure the door front to back and along body lines.. then I cut the magnetic stock to that size , Then using automotive paint I paint the blank magnetic sign with the same material used on the truck.. Then I add the lettering ... and unless you look close you can`t tell that its a magnetic sign... I am listed on Yelp Bens Professional Painting, Victor Montana.. And yes I am watching your stuff because I am thinking of Hot Shot and also because you are a gas !!! truly a great personality

Mudflap isn't about rvs. It's a dot for texas. Need mudflaps on power unit if it has dual wheels on back axel. Trailer needs mudflaps if it has duals also.

Alex if your just renting a truck, you should really check out Barco rent a truck. I believe they are just a month to month rental with unlimited miles. Maybe something worth checking into.

I do a lot of work for them. I’ve told a few people on here, even Alex about them. Good company to rent from. You can even get your insurance from them too. The only dually’s I’ve seen them have are Chevy cab and chassis with a flatbed. Probably perfect for hot shorting

Alex those chip window repair kits are like 20 bucks at the auto part store. I repair mine all the time and you can’t tell it was ever chipped. Might save you some money to pick one or two up.

Yeah but is your truck payment $3k a month? His is. Just truck no insurance. If you drive the wheels off it maybe a good deal. If you run smarter not harder you can get years out of a truck and write off depreciation and maintenance. $1 a mile freight is not profitable just turning $$

I rented a 16 f250 since i didnt have a tow rig since my 97 chevy 2500 bit the dust. The 6.7 stroke wasnt bad for the week. A couple months after my tractor show i picked up a 94 f350 7.3 powerstroke then the following year less than a week before my show an as$ hole ran a light and totaled my trk. So i called again and got a 17 dodge 2500 6.7 cummins. It was funny i told them i needed the diesel as my trl wieghs 13k. They tried getting me to use a gas trk instead of the powerstroke. Um no i reserved the trk in like January for August and you guys are saying the gas tow rating was 11k and the diesel 17k. My only real disappointment with the ford was no hitch sleeve as i only have a 2 inch reciever but the dodge was no sleeve again and no tow mirrors. Really come on now i had almost no visibility behind my trl

Why want you try a Chevy 45000 or 5500? You should even try a single axle medium duty Kenworth or Peterbilt truck! The truck frame and axles would be no comparison and the truck would out last any pickup!

I have an o/o that has a freightliner sport chassis. Loves it air ride air cab air seat crew cab has electric sliding bed. But he says he's a bigger DOT target for some reason . If you buy a corporate off lease you can get for $120k

It’s all about weight. Non cdl hotshot can only be 26,000 lbs. If he got something bigger, he wouldn’t be able to carry as much weight in freight. Less money.

Probably best that he gets a reliable truck. Lol who was it on KZbin who went out of business because his brand new ram was in the shop for so long and with huge out of pocket repairs thanks to a crappy warranty? Did Alex buy his channel? Can't remember but I think maybe. The only reason ram trucks still exist is because of the Cummins engine. If not for that, Dodge would have been gone in the 90's. My opinion of course. No offense to Dodge ram fans but since fiat bought them, it's just not a great rig. Fiat makes junk. Unfortunately they their hands in ram engineering. They just want cheaper trucks built faster. Not saying Ford doesn't have their own issues, but seems like ram isn't at it's full potential. Sad too. Nice looking trucks. Drive nice. But if I'm doing TP's job, then I need reliability. Not quirky electrics and poor warranty.

Earl Stacey I had an 08 ram 3500 that I put 640000 miles on with cdl rating (38000 gross), best truck I’ve ever owned besides the stick shift Mercedes transmission with Eaton internals, the g56 was not up to the task of towing that heavy constantly, trying the aisin 69 this time with 4500 chassis, love it so far but only have 120000 on it with no problems as of yet

Hey Alex.. So I do something similar that you do for a while with enterprise. I've been renting just under a year. But I run on a corporate account so I get a special rate and I don't pay milage now I put 3-4k miles a month so you are probably doing way more. But I get a specialty truck thats ordered specifically for me in February I got the 2020 king ranch with 20 miles on it. It also came with the heated seats,massage chairs ect. Im just curious what you are doing with them is it just a normal rental or is it threw corporate accounts and what excatly are you paying. I know when I hade the 2020 f350 I was paying around 2100 with full coverage comercial insurance and full coverage incidentals basically filling covered threw them. Now that I have the f150 again I'm oaying closer to 1600 a month and full coverage.

You pay for 5000 miles per month whether you use them or not the lease is for 12 months or 50k miles normally.

The Ford powertrain warranty is for 60k miles unless you buy an extended warranty. Enterprize normally has him turn in the lease before the warranty ends. Enterprize pays less for the trucks than the Ford dealer. The deal they have with Ford , Enterprize has to put a certain number of miles or hold it for one year, whichever comes first. Then Ent can sell the truck as used. With rapid miles added to the truck they can sell it quick while it is the same model year. Leasing is riskier when the leases are for a longer period of time. This is the rental/leasing car business model. ---Put miles on quick so they can sell the vehicle before age depreciation kicks in.

they come with four predrilled holes and ready for any modern setup, you just need your old equipment and the tools to remove it, Ford is designed to pull, I think they started doing this for the dual rear wheels after 2010.
