Former college pitcher and have had shoulder surgery before but the pain never really went away. Never knew how bad it still was until starting throwing again. It's definitely a painful pinch on the way back from the external rotation. Comparing the range of motion to my right arm, the difference is quite substantial (i'm left handed). The pinch/pain is definitely in the back of my shoulder, my question is how do I alleviate the problem?

The best way to describe what I feel is like someone is sticking a knife into my shoulder when I throw. The pain will usually go away after about a full week of not throwing. If I just toss lightly there is no pain at all, but if I put anything on the throw it will start to hurt, and eventually I will just have to stop.

The funny thing is when I look at other Decompression type videos all I see the patient having holes poked through the side of the shoulder. My scar runs from the back of my shoulder to the front with scars of 10 staple marks. I'm just assuming thats because of the advancements in surgical procedures from when I had mine done to today.
