SBC Rods and Pistons Orientation and Piston Orientation in Block

Quick video on understanding SBC Rods and Pistons Orientation and Piston Orientation in Block and the importance of valve reliefs in the pistons, especially how they install per cylinder. Installing rods on pistons is not foolproof as they are directional. Piston orientation is critical, especially with dome pistons and radical cams with tight valve to piston clearances. Rods shown in video are 6.0" Callies Ultra H-Beam small journal and Pistons are JE Hollow Dome 4.155. The pistons in this video are from a previous build naturally aspirated SBC drag motor.
This new build is a SBC Gen1 Boosted - SBC 406 Dart SHP block with Callies crank, Callies rods, and custom Diamond Pistons with a 8-71 Roots Blower from The Blower Shop with helical rotors, ATI turbo 400 and 4-link coilover Ford 9 inch. Planning on starting with 22 lbs of boost on methanol with a FuelTech ECU.

Seen so many people do not consider the rod position on the piston, only to find out the hard way the motor will not turn over after installing pistons. Also, in a high performance motor where valve to piston clearance are so tight, you must pay attention to valve relief positioning. Some pistons actually mark the side of the piston that should go toward the front of the block, but I still see people ignore that marking. LOL. Take your time and save yourself some heartache later. Go Fast, Go Straight!

Hey buddy if you can see this I really need your help. I ordered a used 5.7 vortec piston from ebay but it came out the first bank and I needed it for the second bank. Can I just throw it in the opposite bank?? The stock piston have 4 valve relives and they all seem like they're the same size so I figured it won't matter

My question is I bought a used 235 inline 6 and somebody obviously took a motor apart had a machine shop do it and they threw it back together but I noticed all the connecting rods on the piston are the same way but the caps on some of them are pointing different directions is it the same concept with a little walking tabs on this particular motor or just GM in general all face together?
