I can't have a Create Mod weapons industry without gunpowder! So today I built a gunpowder factory in addition to doing more lag busting to finally solving the FPS problem I began fixing in the last video.

Another source of lag that while it's not a huge issue could be the hoppers, if you put a solid block over the ones that are not receiving items from the top that can help marginally.

Solid block will remove a check yes but you should use a container like a furnace to stop it checking for entities as well. The best option is the composter since it doesnt update every tick like the furnace. There is a much better and detailed explanation on reddit post "Demo + Why composters on top of hoppers are used to reduce lag"

I was panicking when your lag video came out because I was wondering how I would resolve the inevitable lag I'd produce in my modpack, but I had preemptively decided to use AE2 as a storage mod because I haven't played AE in over 8 years, so it was a good callback. Good to see it's a solution!

Our modpacks are very different. For one, I'm using the Create: Guns resource and datapack, and I have a heavy focus on farming and food with SoL: Apple and a bunch of Farmer's Delight addons. One such addon adds two processable plants that explode when harvested, but can be cut into gunpowder. Very convenient, and I'm glad I don't need an entire oil refinery for gunpowder (I'd just build a vanilla creeper farm, ngl)

Best part about AE2 is that you can use subnets (and still have a reason for train network(you can do wireless)) and on demand crafting (lag reduction).

Also AE2 subnets are much more TPS friendly than belts or pipes. Also does your pack have a curseforge download?

pipez is also super laggy too tho when you have them upgraded. The best item pipes for lag is from integrated dynamics. They’re the fastest too.

Agreed. Not to mention, whenever you do anything related to MineColonies you always seem to completely forget about it or stop doing it all together. I would love to see you actually continue working on it and finish it off properly instead of purely focusing on Create alone. I get it's a important part of the modpack, but so is MineColonies.

Thank you so much. You just saved our Minecraft Server. We have been plagued by our world corrupting everyday when first joining the server and couldn't figure out what was causing this as well as not being able to find anything online. Now I know the cause and could find a solution to keep EnderIO without the corruptoin (deleting the EnderStorage folder in your world directory).

I know you use Biomes'O Plenty but have you checked out Terralith? It's like Biomes'O Plenty on steroids if that's even possible.

Here's another thing, in order to save some teleporters for more important stuff, you could have used the train to get gravel from the cobble gen in the iron plant. And to cut down on lag. Reuse cobble from there too. And cut out some other cobble generators.

I would have chosen Tom Simple storage, it works well with create. Also don't feel bad for teleporting item around, at some point trains may not be fast enough, ender chest and similar mod are part of late game in mod packs. I would even use it to distribute stone products around for lag reason, cobble gens are laggy.

Instead of the double chest, use a pair of Create Vaults. Can do the same in places you have hopper chains.

Check out the mod Create Railway Navigator, that would be sick if combined with your train network.

I fixed pretty much all lag in my personal world by having clutches on all machines and turning farms off when I have a lot of items stockpiled. I also used belts for logistics which also would be toggled off along with the machines.

Storage drawers require tick updates for each item they receive and so the faster the factory the larger the lag

@@lechking941 conveyors are the most laggy item after harvesters in the create mod. Good luck conveying items into the machines with something else. He simply doesn't have any other choice of use right now.

Atp asode from maybe just mechanism transport I can't thunk of any local transport aside from his learning of the stash and postbox deal of minecolony. (But that's not gppd for a industrial need) he may just need to use minecart contraptions to move local bulk shipments.

@@lechking941 I typically use storage drawers with create and never have lag issues from the drawers, always from create. That's why all my farms are built to work in an accumulative manner and efficiency is priority, plus I always put switches to turn them off.

I had a feeling that storage drawer transport would be a massive source of lag. Also avoid using mass hoppers. Those tend to get very laggy very fast.

Consider super factory manager for your logistical needs,the way it transfers items is incredibly lag friendly however you better be prepared to learn to program.

Sbeev you should make a mob farm in the end for the endermen if you can and make a creeper farm for gunpowder i think using fall damage to kill the creepers will be the best choice because then they can't blow up before they die and break your farm. Edit: just thought of a design to put on the outside of creeper farm, you could build a big tall tower to hide the creeper farm after you build the farm.

Randomly found your channel last night. It was that 15000 hour long mod pack you did. Kinda wished that video was longer. But your sense of humor made me laugh a lot! There were some jokes/memes that I laughed too hard at and they weren’t even that funny. That video really made me want to get a computer/laptop so I can play that mod pack.

I do know if you don't like Applied Energistics there are other mods that add similar storage systems, which may be more up your alley (especially the more simplistic ones)

Honestly I would've used thermal pipes and sorted that way. Personally I'd like to use buildcraft pipes or redpower pneumatic tubes for the nostalgia but pretty sure neither of those things are on that version of MC. At least last I checked lol

Dont use AE2, it's a replacement for every second thing you do with Create; just use Pipez oder Thermal Ducts

try functional storage drawers it doesn't use trim it uses cards and AOE style.i think its a more useful version of drawers mod like lasreio for a enderi0 clone of just the wires

You know why EnderIO was better for a moment? You replaced 100+ drawer systems with 1 EnderIO system. For a moment that is, when you get more - lag returns. Drawers are THE BEST for both speed and optimization, but guess f-ing what - you gotta use them smart and set up a centralized storage solution with them. I'll even give you tips this time, cose it's getting annoying: Controller slave = interface, you just gotta filter what you pull out, smart chutes are insanely good for that. 1 world = 1 controller. Do not use more, deal with it. Less storage is always better for optimization. Less interfaces per chunk is good too, spread them out.
