To find the cause of lag use the mod called "Spark". It is a lightweight profiler that allows you to debug tps lag.

I think for the road network if you have standardised sections, but then give each section a texture then it would look better I think and if you automate building, just set a filter on deployers to place only the kinds of blocks you would consider using and not just a single block so you can get a random texture that way

Once you get more built, like factories and cities, parking lots, etc, then maybe _(if your PC can handle it)_ add a bunch of small cars and vans and whatever else that will “randomly” _(on schedule timers)_ drive around and across the map, and have signals too, so then cars will stop if it’s backed up, and won’t cause a crash. Though this is something that would be better to do on like, a grid city map.

A solution to the Axolotl drowning as conductors is just to waterlog the seat (you can do the block above it too if you wanna be extra safe), prevent it from flowing by putting blocks on either side of the seat. Create Storage Interfaces interact with other mods, too. You can increase throughput when unloading by changing what does the unloading. For example: mods like Thermal Dynamics or Pipez.

Here's how it works. | V Preliminary Step: Build the ship, the notable feature being enough tanks to store the lava needed to establish an infinite lava source as established in a previous video (10000 blocks or more) Now for the procedure: Step 1: fill the ship up with lava (preferably from an already established source of lava Step 2: find a desired resource well Step 3: sail the ship to the well Step 4: build the rig Step 5: build a large tank nearby with an internal volume of 10000 blocks or more (preferably in as little chunks as possible) Step 6: fill the tank and pipe everything together Step 7: unforeseen bugs and contextual issues Step 8: extend cargo ship routes and profit!

i recommend using a sodium forge port mod named "Xenon" Which is like Embeddium but (from my experience) it provides better performance to your game (i usually play the game with shaders and with the modpack i switched from embeddium to xenon and i gained 20-60 more frames [80fps before/after 100-170fps) my specs are: i7-13700f, RTX 3060 TI, 32GB 3200mhz RAM edit: i only gained this amount of fps on a newly generated world so i dont know how well it can impact you in some cases.

With you working on your transportation set up, look at they Pennsylvania Rail Road T-1 class of locomotives. Would look good for a passenger train, and was rumored to have topped out at over 140 mph. Unfortunately these runs never had a dynamometer cart to prove these claims. It was capable of easily maintaining speeds of 100 mph.

You should use rails under the harbour to make cars/trucks to go around and unload the ships or load them (Ik you cant use the giant crane so this is just a simple solution that might help)
