Nice job evening out the flow, those manifold have like 3 different runner lengths to deal with! short and long and with the #1 cylinder forward even the longer runners are 2 different lengths i don't think its necessarily bad (it should spread out the torque band some) but obvious attention needs to be paid to equalizing flow and distribution which it seems you are trying to do!
@arturozarate17522 ай бұрын
Excellent thing to point out. I've personally spent a lot of time shaping and trimming the dividers to equalize the lengths more. I'm hoping to have engine dyno comparisons between the ported runner as cast length and the ported equalized length. That's if my client can stand the wait.....hope everything is going well with you and your car.

@arturozarate1752 keep us posted on the dyno results, that sounds like a cool test!

@vrm86gt oh you bet. I run into the time being the issue a lot. In the beginning the client is all for it. Then after teardown, ordering parts(if we have to), time to port, flow bench(not at my location), port, flow bench, weld, port, flow bench...... For some, they're just impatient, but for other life can become a factor. Right now I have a client that's invested $45k in parts, labor to upgrade electrical, fuel, suspension, brakes, etc, and 9 months waiting on machine work just to pull the plug because he has to sell the house and move...... Maybe we'll pick this back up after the new year and the move.....maybe we won't. Time.... But I'm always committed, so if I can get compliance I'll deliver results.

@@vrm86gt yes this is true. Sane thing with tge CSA, it's different from runner to runner but they all are like that and that doesn't have a big effect on power as you think. It's flow and velocity. We measure both and port the parts according to the application. This particular single plane manifold was ported for a 306 but the same manifold would get ported differently if it was going on a 347 or 363. Remember, don't overthink it because keeping it simple works best lol.

@@bigdogsportingtonyb2833 I'm not gonna ask you post the speeds you look for between a 306 and 347, but I'm interested. I've gotta get a flow bench. I like this shit too much.

Tony, Tony, Tony do you machine those intakes for injectors? Where can you be contacted?
@bigdogsportingtonyb28332 ай бұрын
@@arturozarate1752 yes we do but you have to drill them at an angle because the injector bung placement is too close to the top of the gasket mating area and will cause gasket sealing issues if not done correctly. Contact us on our Facebook page at Bigdogs Porting

@@jnunez995 our stage 2 ported Offshore 8.2 deck can be ported to flow 380cfm if the combo needs it for larger displacement motors. This manifold was ported for a smaller displacement motor to keep the velocity up but we kept the average runner flow at the 300cfm range. Stage 2 Offshore will support more power than a out the box Victor jr. We can make a Victor jr flow 390-400cfm average runner with our stage 3 max porting
