I got some og 289 hi-po heads and a funnel web intake i got from a guy a few years back. He made an attempt to port them and made a small hole in one of the exhaust ports. Could you all repair that and do the heads properly along with the intake?

I’ve messaged on Facebook but I’m still not sure have you ported the C90E or D00E heads from 69 windsors before ? That’s what I have they are like gt40s but can be ported more as they have larger castings and more meat on the bones. Just curious if you’ve ever done them before I know I’ve seen your work and it’s extraordinary. I met a guy who had some of your full race gt40s he was gonna install. If you make my heads look like that then F*** aluminums

No basic gasket matching or clean up but full intake, exhaust and combustion chambers porting and modifying with a 4 angle valve job and back cuts. The hp gains are great. This year we are going to dynoing a 358W that we built using our stage 2 iron heads to show people what rather can do!!

Very impressive, I wonder what the Promaxx project x heads (any one of them) would flow with a BDP port job. Alittle cheaper than AFR, on paper they outflow them by a hair and considering both are Chinese castings would be interesting. They seem to have solid machine work out the box but a BDP port job couldn’t hurt to add to them. Solid work on the BDP 185’s. Would be nice seeing those paired with a 306, custom cam and long tubes to smack on bigger cubic inch motors.

It would be nice if you guys already had ported sets for sale. I have read previously that you guys get busy and people have to wait for their products....however, if you guys already had a few sets of heads/intakes for sale I'm sure you could sell quite a few that way and your customers wouldn't have to wait for anything except shipping. I'm not sure if you do that already but just thought I'd throw an idea out there.

@@pavlos413 we do, on Ebay but they cost more. People are not patient but they also want the best for less. Can't get it all at once. Also we get hundreds of orders a year but the few that complain about turnaround are small compared to the amount of orders we have. We ship 6-10 orders a week and many of our customers orders are custom which takes time. Also are prices are way lower. Our stage two gets you a 60-100cfm gain yet cost 3 times less than others

@@droppedf100 we are and it's a direct bolt on in a foxbody and SN95 Mustang application. You don't have to change the linkage, TB or heater hose and it can support more power than a out the box Super Victor, fit under the stock hood and rev to 8,000rpm. @droppedf100 it did because you lost a ton of torque. The best thing would have been to let us stage 2 port your tfs R manifold that way you can have both the torque and the HP! That's what our porting philosophy gets you!

@@bigdogsportingtonyb2833 I wasn’t unhappy with the TFS-R and someone had ported at least the lower. But I kept having a cylinder 3 issue on nitrous. It melted the plug 2x and melted the exhaust valve once. Checked and changed everything else and the problem never resolved

@@utahcountypicazospage5412 we flow hundreds of heads a year and we have ton of experience. When doing comparisons you always want to use the same flow bench testing the same way which we do. The numbers are apples to apples. The flow went down because the on tge low lift because they didn't port the short side right for the valve job which is why they were sent to us to port to our stage 2 standards. People think it's as simple as removing material and it's not

Hey Tony, it’s been debated online a lot, but how much would a Cobra intake add to a stock 5.0 SN95? Would you lose any low end? Would it be noticeable, how much more RPM can you play with when accelerating? I have a 95 GT and am hoping to get a Cobra intake for it. Also, what would be best for a stock 5.0? The Explorer or Cobra lower? I ask because the Cobra has bigger ports, but is also more expensive and I am not sure a stock motor could use the extra airflow and not lose torque.

Was this flowed on a 1262 or 1250 size port? Isn't the Box-R a 1262 and the Cobra a 1250?

Our standards and porting style is way different so whatever you've heard or seen from anyone else doesn't apply to us because we are on a different level when it comes to porting these parts. Both manifolds were flowed the exact same way using the same equipment

@ I wasn’t questioning your ability. Not trying to troll… Is your stage 3 porting on the cobra intake open the ports to 1262 then to match the stock box r? Just looking at it from a fluid design perspective. I have the two intakes in question. Both are unported. The box r sits on a 363 putting out 925hp. Driveability is not the greatest. Considering putting the Cobra back on, but have heard it will kill a ton of hp. Your stage 3, might be the ticket. Just doing my homework.

@chrisdogmlb it's not the gasket matching that allows the manifold to flow and make power it the entire porting of the runners. Our stage 3 ported uppers and lowers gets ported and modified in a way that's way beyond a gasket matching job. Also tge throttle body tunnel flow is just as important as the runners flow and length. We port to match the combo and the uppers gets ported and shortened for the application.

I'm running those jones mufflers with an X pipe and they sound great. Funny thing, on my stock 91' 5.0 AOD bolt-on combo (home ported stock lower intake with explorer 65mm throttle body and EGR spacer and Sn95 5.0 70mm mass air sensor) with stock E7 heads and cam, I replaced my old worn chrome BBK 1 5/8 shorty headers with a pair of stock 5.0 1 1/2 shorty headers and the car actually runs stronger now. I've read reports of people running slower in the 1/4 mile with stock combos when going with larger diameter 1 5/8 shorty headers. I think it has to do with the very small stock exhaust ports loosing velocity, so the scavenging affect is not as good. I wished there was still aftermarket 1 1/2 inch shorty headers without the kinks. They used to exist for the foxbody, but now it is just 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 headers.

@@alexirodriguez9121 usually it's because the Aftermarket headers don't flow as well as you think and the car needing to be dialed in for the better exhaust flow. With better exhaust flow you can add more timing and usually needs more fuel to make more power. That's what we've learned over the decades we've been tuning. Also porting the lowers only on a 2 piece manifold is nor the correct way to do it. This is why others ported parts don't make the power that ours do.

The motor is stock and just has an off road H pipe and a 2.5” flow master exhaust. I do have all upgraded full suspension w/3.73’s. I do have a full GT40 head/intake set up from an explorer. Can I get away without porting the heads and get to power I want? I’m hoping one of your ported 65mm TB, cam, intake and ported upper/lower manifold will get me in the ballpark. @@tedoakley5600 tes you will be able to make great power with our ported Explorer gt40 manifold, ported 65mm throttle body, better cai kit, Underdrive Crank pulley, stage 2 cam, 80mm ProM maf sensor, 30lb injectors and some of our ported stainless shorty headers and dialing in all the sensors. More power will be had with having the heads ported and the proper valve springs installed.
