I recently bought a Sboly Single Serve Coffee Maker. It works pretty well so far. I hand grind beans, never use pods. I also add a paper basket filter in between the mesh ground coffee holder and the cavity that the holder fits into. The filter removes the small amount of finely ground sediment that otherwise gets into my coffee. Also, the Sboly seems to be the same machine as the Salton 2-in-1 Single Serve Coffee Maker & the KitchenBro Single Serve Coffee Maker. Also the same as the Mainstays Single Serve Dual Brew Coffee (Walmart, but not in Canada it seems, I'm Canada). "A Z" futher down this comments page mentions this. Marie I totally feel you. That was the whole reason I looked for something else because of the price and they break a lot. Plus you get the coffee ground filter. Best of both worlds. TRUST ME! It's still the hottest coffee that I've ever had out of a coffee maker. I use cream and sugar from the fridge and it's still incredibly hot after I had my cream. No worries it it will be really really hot.

Fantastic sales pitch. I'm sold. U never know when u might want either ground or kcup. We use ground. I'd probably forget the line and fill it to the rim for a stronger brew. Good coverage about the lid, no lid. It has some good extras like self clean and one button. Small. I heard people had one two years. Or 2 months. What the hey, if it breaks ur out a few bucks not hundreds. Great production! You should be a salesman.

Hi Hobart I have a partial update: Well I purchased & receive the Sboly Coffee Brewer. I purchased the one with the stainless steel travel mug & used it twice so far. To me this brewer felt extremely cheap & the buttons appear to be delicate. I used the K-Cups both times & this thing gets hotter than my new Keurig, IMPRESSIVE. I was going to send the Keurig back, but I changed my mind just in case the something happens to the Sboly brewer. I have measured my water by the mug I was going to use so that It will not overflow. By doing this I did not fill my mug to the top with water in which leaving room for my cream & sugar. I would like to offer a suggestion or two.... 1. If using creamer powered is a way to go only because the temperature of the coffee will decrease very little. The Con to that is powered creamer does not dissolve completely it leave some lumps behind. 2. If drinking Cold Brew ( or even Iced Coffee from overnight) I feel that liquid creamer is better for that situation.

Amanda, thanks for your comments and observations. I agree that it feels pretty cheap compared to the keurigs but I also agree that it is a much hotter cup of coffee than any Keurig I have ever owned. I use liquid creamer and it still is incredibly hot after adding it lol. I've had mine for several months and have had no issues even though it does feel very plasticky. Thanks again!

Awesome review. Just bought a Keurig K-Supreme from QVC & cosidering sending it back. Had a Keurig some yrs ago, got rid of it because I heard some sloshing inside the machine & unable to drain it out. Another reason is that my coffee was not hot enough for my taste. I saw this Sboly on Amazon before looking at your video & I was on the fence about making a purchase. I may get this & compare to the Keurig I rcently purchased. 6.11.21 Thanks for the great review. I was really hoping to find a video where someone tore it apart to show what's inside. If and when this thing craps out, I'll tear it apart if someone hasn't done it already and posted a vid to KZbin. You would think with all then negative reviews on Amazon and comments about returns to Amazon, that someone would have torn it apart by now. If this thing lasts enough for me to get through my supply of K-cups, I'll be happy. I have better ways to brew coffee in the traditional drip method. I just tossed out 3 commercial Keurig K-cup brewers. I watched vids about all the crap that builds up inside the Keurig plumbing. When I tore mine apart, all the black and white gunk in the visible tubing was of great enough concern to throw away the Keurig brewers And before anyone says anything about descaling with Keurig descaler fluid or vinegar, I've done both over the years. A tip, I start the Sboly, fill my coffee mug with water and heat it up for a 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave, then dump the water, add the cream, and wait for the coffee. That little tip I found online always ensures a nice hot cup of coffee.

Maybe if and when it stops working I will tear it apart. I haven't read any of the latest reviews on it but for me it's working perfectly! Even after all this time I have had zero issues with it. It hasn't clogged like all of the keurigs I've owned and the coffee is still hotter than any Keurig I've owned. So far I'm super happy with it and use it every day with no issues! And if it does break I've got my money's worth and I'll just go buy another one. Much harder to do with a $200-300 Keurig..lol. Thanks for watching my friend!

I have it is ok but the cappuccino maker seems not to get all the grounds out in ive tried different brands. The coffee maker is very good and hot. Ive never tried the tea part. It does leak so put something under it because it makes quit a bit of a mess. It automatically shuts off which can be good but have to basically sit in wait few minutes for it to warm up and brew. I think compared to the Kerrig its not even close. Just my experience hope you have better results and clean it very often the drain and cappuccino cup. I would give it a 3 but because of the mess it leaves probably a 2 or 2.5 for the hot coffee.

Hey, that's for watching my review. So if you fill it up to the top of the blue plastic insert it will fill a big coffee cup to the top. For my travel mug it fills it about 80% full which leaves room for cream and sugar..haha. There is no difference in taste as they work in the exact same way. So the coffee is perfect! No worries there. With Keurig you are paying for the marketing and overhead with lots of profit baked in. The pod coffee technology is pretty simple to figure out so it was only a matter of time..lol. And I might add it's still going strong today with no clogs or any malfunctions. And it was a heck of a lot cheaper than the keurigs I've owned and has lasted a lot longer..lol. Hope this helps!

Looks same as the KitchenBro which worked fine for ONE day, then flashing lights, and no easy customer support to be found. Very thin owner’s manual with little information. Returned. And that was after having a Hamilton Beach Flex Brew for a week, it would blow water and grounds out, both pods and sealed grounds container. Now will try Sunvivi. Cross fingers. Tons of research leaves us with feeling “it’s a crap shoot” no matter what. We do like to prioritize a grounds option and an adjustable cup height stand for less splatter. Like this Sboly has.

You were incorrect when you said the coffee strength can't be chosen. The strength can in fact be chosen by varying the coffee grounds amount and the water amount. Perhaps what you meant to say is that the strength can't be chosen on a control screen. The Sboly is just as workable with brew strength, only it's done manually. Btw, I got mine from eBay without a coupon for around the Amazon price with a coupon.

This unit measures 11.5 inches high. Some people have stated they were able to use a 7 inch mug......I have a 7.2 inch mug ( a tad tiny tinsy bid bigger). @@HobartsReviews Yes, I think it was just that "first cup" deal. That's why doing the first cup of hot water and discarding is good practice. The second cup was really good. I am pleased with it so far and seems to have been a good buy.

Update: I must retract any recommendation of this maker. It worked two or three times okay, but then it would not work at all. The water will not go through the system, even when I have punctured the pod twice to make sure it will. Out of a full reservoir of water, it will empty only about a quarter of it through the pod into a cup. Not sure what the problem is, but this is just a piece of junk. This is definitely a case of "if it's too good to be true, it probably is".

It comes with a screen cup that can handle regular coffee. I'm not sure about something fine like espresso. You might get some very fine soot at the bottom of your cup..lol

Not sure what you mean. If you press the top button both lights blink but if you wait a few seconds you will hear the water start to heat up.

I don't really know..lol. I just guessed. Dilute with water and 25% vinegar. Then recycle it several times. After do plain water lots of times. May need to brew some water a few times to get the smell out. If you can use the solution from the store it may not stink as bad. It eventually went away over time.

When I put a tape measure next to it with the drip tray in you could get 6-6.5" mug in there. If you take out the drip tray you get about 7". I have just used mine to make not more than 20 Keurig cups and the water stopped coming out. I've cleaned yet it isn't working. It heats up but when it comes for the coffee extraction, nothing comes out. Quite disgusting.

just got one based on this review. it's going back tomorrow. you have to hold the lid down or the switch will not work and the machine will not start a cycle. it spews water out the back and coffee out the front. i put 12 oz in and get 8 oz out. LOTS of grounds in the coffee. worthless at any price.

Thanks for the review. However, I have a main problem with this type. The material of the water source is made from plastic that is not healthy. Do you know any model of single coffe maker that its water source is staineless steel?

The Bella dual brew single serve coffee maker has a metal reservoir where the water is heated first, but it then goes through plastic components from there to the coffee basket.

Can you pause the cycle to start another cup without refilling water reservoir? Ie 2 6oz cups with one 14oz water fill...

No unfortunately not It brews what's in the water reservoir all at once. But it only takes a few minutes to heat back up. And like I said in the video it brews the hottest coffee I have ever had....accept maybe at mcdonalds..lol

It makes as much as you put in there. So if you fill it with a large cup, it will use all of the water in that Brew. If you fill it with a small amount of water, same thing. So it's basically what you put in comes out.

Hobart's Reviews Please! I writing outside the Unites States and I have been trying with Lavazza (Legero) which is a small type of k-cup but is not working. Yeah. It's just a cover. Doesn't really do anything since there is no seal required. It's just a door..lol.

It doesn't work that way. Once the coffee has brewed the coffee maker shuts off. Just like a Keurig. It's not like the old coffee pots that kept the whole pot of coffee warm.

Thanks for your comment but I still have mine and it works like the day I got it several years ago. It has out lasted any Keurig I've had 3 or 4x over. So I guess some are better than others.
