Do one with neat SBR paint on the backs and leave to set for a week. I recently lifted 45# 600x600 granite slabs that had been been down about 5 years. The backs had all been painted with SBR and then bedded on 1:6 Cement / Sharp sand. Out of the 45 only 4 came up with 80mm of bedding mortar stuck to them. The rest easily popped up with some gentle persuasion with Hammer and chisel.
@paulf2529
@paulf2529 3 жыл бұрын
Sbr alone doesn't work very well, adding the cement and using as a slurry or paste is the correct method. Its possible if using sbr alone for it to dry thus acting as a waterproof barrier, and reducing adhesion. The idea of a slurry is to reduce the suction of the slab to the bedding moartar but not to totally prevent it. Its basically the same concept as using a diluted down mist coat of emulsion on new plaster.
