It’s not just the chores, it’s the crushing administrative tasks like bills, taxes etc. That shit will wear you down.

And remembering appointments and birthdays and grocery lists and medications and to feed yourself occasionally....

@Poodle_Guntrue, but you only have to do it for yourself. When you’re paying bills for more than one person it can get complicated. Taxes too. You have to ensure all the receipts for at least two, maybe more are at hand, everyone’s pay stub is in, etc. Doing anything only for yourself is loads easier.

@Poodle_Gunit's the responsibility, you see. Being responsible to others is stressful especially when many people are counting on you and you have no one as back up when things go awry. Being single is a lot simpler and if things go bad you can just brush it off as life lessons.

omg I call it "managing the husband" if you have to ask your husband to do work - and it, in itself, is yet another chore!

0:02 everyone does. It’s not like women like doing household chores, we don’t.

This is 100% why I refuse to date a guy who has never lived on his own. A man who went from Mom to dorm to living with GF doesn't know how much is involved with running a household. I watched my Mom get so stressed from all the housework, taking care of me, and working 40 hours, that she developed an autoimmune disease. It's not worth it. If he refuses to split the chores, leave.
