A good step by the Collegium. This step will be helpful to understand the mindset of the person to be appointed. It is almost in the same manner the UPSC has been following for years. Such things as witnessed recently are harmful for entire system in spoiling the country and its culture. There is lack competency in the system which needs to be taken care of, apart from certain unusual things apparently visible.

There were allegations on personal interactions based interviews. Several state board removed personnel interview for several posts due to allegations of biasness. So bringing personal interactions is regressive step.

Who will interview Supreme Court appointed judge prior to taking oath ? Please note that no democracy in the world, the judges appoint judges. Your voice is sweet but it is a cunning way of reporting with your owner agenda depicted!!! Do you who should up during the emergency, it was high courts but not the Supreme Court of India.
