Studer's timbre corresponds exactly to Elsa as I imagine her. She has an aristocratic splendor, a certainty in her interpretation, a legato that melts and resists every temptation to make the role more dramatic than it should be. And Abbado also conducts this to die for.

Für deutsche Hörer. Meier in Minute 9:56 singt "wie der durch Zauber zu dir kam!" statt "wie er durch Zauber zu dir kam!" Könnt ihr bestätigen?

Sie singt eindeutig 'wie ER', allerdings mit einem kleinen Lufthauch, um die zwei aufeinanderfolgendfen Vokale i-e "wi(e) er" halbwegs zu trennen

The first part of ACT 11 LOHENGRIN is very dark and sinister..it is also in my opinion Wagner at his best.

I think her timbre fits the character well as it is at once bright but with dark overtones. It seems appropriate for Ortrude to have a vocal profile fitting a still energetic woman young in spirit if not in age. Ortrude's character might be a bit more advanced in age and experience than the younger Elsa, but she has plenty of fire in her.

Fram Meyer is a real zwischen , ja wohl.I dont like her nor do i like Miss Studer.

She always had this fast vibrato when it came to the high notes. And they weren't always secure either.
