I’m the same way. There’s plenty of aircraft I don’t like too much, but if the kit is quality the I’ll enjoy building it.

Beautiful build. I plan to get a few of the Tamiya jets. They are so nice. One question. What is the point of the black base coat? It seems everyone does it and then obliterates it by painting on a top coat. If you are trying to highlight panel lines or recesses, why not just use panel liner. Thanks much.

Hey Bob, thank you!! Well, it's complicated, In the past, I had a gallons of black primer in my stash .. I really like the look of a black model, but in real life, the best primer should be like on the real thing, in this case, light green or yellowish green. But the best is 2 use Tamiya light grey primer to check your panels and joints. I recommend that... now that I still use black primers, but I don't like marble and similar effects. I like post-shading and panel liner like You wrote. Like I said, it is complicated and just a person choice. All the best! D.

I enjoy watching the build and your skills but seriously I wish I were deaf because of that background noise. All is well, turning off the sound is magic.

So should you only really put primer on the big pieces that you’re going to paint, like the body of the plane? Or should you just prime everything that youre going to paint?

Nice kit and a great build. The glue bottle problem does not need an explanation,we have all done it.But why "Queen Elisabeth" on the rudder? The british has B versions on the Hms Queen Elisabeth but this is an american marine version. Is there a reason?

We didn't have enough aircraft at the time, but they're just standing a new squadron up now.
