All the boom years of Scalextric were from this first Havant production era up to 1970. Sales from the introduction were nearly doubling each year for a while. Very little of that Havant production era is shown at the Margate wonderworks display. Not even sure they acknowledge the existence of the Havant factory let alone its production significance.
