Been fascinated about Smp lately. Know a colleague with black coloured smp with a bit of a greenish tone though and wondering if that could have been caused by low quality ink or if it can happen if the needle goes to deep too? I knew that the black colour can be spreaded by blood if you go to deep but didnt know about the greenish colour. Thx

Good question. The answer is it could be both. A good pure carbon based ink is not hard to find, but with “smp ink marketing” it does confuse consumers and artists alike. Going too deep in skin (live organism and constant changes) can most certainly give the inky, blue, green, unnatural appearance.

Can you use foil shaver on entire head after smp every 2 to 4 days

Foil shavers work great for our sublte smp. It may cut down too low for the results many other companies offer. To use a foil shaver, I would recommend using every 1-2 days. On my head (everyone is a bit different based on thickness of remaining hair) if I wait 3 or 4 days, I would need to get the hair lower with clippers in order for the foil to cut through.

What size needles would you use can I ask please, im a uk micropigmentation artist and generally use an 04 to 06 needles but the lady i work for always wants me to get the sessions done quickly and completed in 3 sessions, i prefer to be more subtle and she wants me to do clients darker and quicker than i would like 😊

We divulge so much smp info on KZbin, we save the exact needle sizes and techniques for our trainees. The needles you’ve mentioned work perfectly. Your situation is a good highlight of the smp industry. It’s pure art vs business and making money. I don’t blame your business associate as consumers have always pushed for faster results. This is a great example of why the smp industry needs more understanding of the artistic process. In other words exactly how and why the best results are created :)

Whenever I see someone with a shaved head I always look to see if it's smp😊
