You should know that whether there is a sign board or not, filming inside immigration area is an offence all over the world. Unfortunately we Indians don't take anything seriously and blame others.

you should know filming near immigration area any where in the world is prohibited, so its your fault you shoot the area and you give them the chance.. its not a scam. you should be blame first... not them.

Yeah we get that.. it is our fault but they did not even check the video and just focused on bribe. The only problem is they were interested in bribe and not the fault. But anyways lesson learnt

@VeggieWander : saying that officers at immigration desk of Indonesia are corrupted and taking bribe in open is an offence and can be taken as a legal consequence against you, if this clip goes viral and someone bring it to the attention of Indonesian authorities. The Embassy of Indonesia in New Delhi or the Bureau of Immigration under the Ministry of Home affairs of Indonesia can officially take a legal stand against you, as you cannot prove anything saying verbally, do you have any video recording that you have handed over $15 to the officer at immigration desk, the Government of Indonesia can officially communicate their concern to the Indian Government regarding your activities about misleading information as you are deteriorating the image of the country and your channel can be legally blocked, whereas, the Government spend millions of dollars on promotion of tourism and other activities. Moreover, you can be blacklisted for your travel to Indonesia without any intimation, be careful with your words, you are running a You tube channel with your spouse and providing info on travel which can be beneficial for local community to travel abroad, but do not expose issues which are not meant for you, there are many things that happen in our world today but it doesn’t mean that you should start pointing your fingers on Government officers or policy makers, rest you can reply to me like you are writing to everyone, they should have given us the receipt I was ready to pay, when you said $100 in your video even that sounds too much for you, just imagine someone ask $5K or $10K with receipt then what you will do, just pray to God you were lucky and he saved you with merely $15. I would suggest to delete this video from your channel, Rest is your take, you are free person. Happy travelling!!!

Hey thanks for your valuable feedback, the video is expressing our experience. And we are free to talk about the experience we had. If you look at the whole series you will see we appreciated the locals and the places but if i have had a bad experience and there is a learning, i must share that as well. And to your point there were cameras on our head and evidences can be found there.

Yeah it's our fault but if charged with fine we should get challan and they should have asked to delete the video. But he was just trying to make money and did not even bother what we recorded. Hence we are calling it scam. 😃

Why dont you understand that instead of 100$, you only had to pay 15$ because of that officer. You guyz do soo many trips, you should know that shooting videos is not allowed at immigration. Remember: corruption happens from both sides.

Mr. Saxena just to clarify if the penalty was for $100 we would have loved to pay that and in return expect a challan receipt. But this $15 was not a fees instead it was a corruption incident which you rightly said. Agreed to the fact that we had travelled to so many countries but we had not recorded any major clip of immigration. Indeed it was a 2-3 sec clip that too from far behind.

Misguiding video. These guys are twisting the story, it was their mistake which led them to pay $15, they are narrating as if immigration officers in Bali take bribe from tourists. Moreover, in another comment these guys were advising someone that a passenger can collect his baggage 🧳 at Singapore airport during his layover to Malaysia. Baggage collection requires immigration, and hence some kind of visa!!

Wooaahh. Amazed by your interpretation that this video is misguided. We have expressed our feeling and our interpretation of what happened with us at the airport. We accepted our mistake and Apologized to the officials and asked them that we can give them apologies in written. But they only wanted the bribe. If you don't know the meaning of bribe then let us explain you. It means when you try extort money ot favour from other person in return of something. Here they asked us to give $15 and in return they gave our passport. We also asked them to give a written receipt but he didn't give us any written paper or communication. And onto your second statement of Malaysia and Singapore let me explain you the meaning of 'baggage through'. It means when your baggage will be automatically pass through your final country without you having to do anything. Just want to share whatever we write in the comment is basis our own personal experience

I like your thinking, but the point we ae trying to say is, and by the way it clearly laid down in the video also, so i don't know how it is misguiding. But anyways my point is: We accept our mistake, we apologized, we were ready for written apologies, we were ready to pay the fine and get a slip against it, but his focus was just to extort money and he was least interested in the content of the video. He did not even ask us to delete the video. So the view point is, we accept our mistake, lesson learnt but officer's intentions were malicious and he used his power to extort money that is why it is a scam. Hope it makes sense.

Omg! This sameee thing happened with me when I visited Bali last year with my mom n dad too . I agree we shouldnt record when we r at the immigration area BUT I was soo soo far away from the immigrations when I last used my phone.. But just coz the airport was empty n they might have seen me frm a distance they did this..!! The way they were behaving as soon as we arrived the counter was too much! They told us they would deport all 3 of us or we have to pay them Indian rs2500.. They created a very tensed scenario n even though we apologised they dint listen n we payed them the entire amount.. They dint even give any slip.. nor there was any penalty amount mentioned anywhere.. Nor we asked for it, we dint wana create any problems for us by engaging in arguments.. But we also wondered whether the person kept the money in his pocket or what! Totally spoiled the start of our trip!

Yeah ,,, so that is how they make extra money, everything goes in their pocket, its organized crime everyone is involved. They take advantage of the scenario. My learning from this incident: 1. Never ever take out your phone in 50m radius of immigration area 2. Always keep small dollars or currency bills to deal such robbers Though i understand we have done something horribly wrong and we should have been penalized for it, but what they are doing is just SCAM. They don't even delete the videos/photos captured they just need money.

This is not a scam. Every immigration area is extremely sensitive, doesn't matter which country you go to. So, yeah, they are not going to care about what you captured on your phone, the fact that you did it is a breach of established protocols and regulations..Please keep in mind that immigration processes can be stringent, and the consequences may be even more severe in other countries. Please conduct thorough research and adhere to the procedures before labeling such situations as corrupt or unfair.

The whole point is, we accepted our mistake and were ready to pay the penalty also a written apology but the officer was only interested in bribe and he did not even bother to check what we recorded. I agree. If u guys every apply for US visa dont even think about shooting photos videos, or even video call near the perimeter of US embassy. U won't be allowed to go for.interview and they may also take legal actions. U guys should be glad that the matter was settled with just a 15$ bribe. unethical for the officer but lucky for you guys.. he could have depoted u all and that would have been so much worse.
