I was getting a bunch of calls from someone calling about car warranty expiring. I don't drive and am technically legally blind so I'll never be able to drive (nor would I want to when people drive like they are in a video game!) I finally got fed up and told the person it's illegal to repeatedly call someone after they ask you to take their number off your calls list and I wanted their name so I could report them to my friend the officer on the other line. (Total bluff I was done after over 18 months of this harassment.) It stopped pretty much after that

God damned sales scam call people! I changed my name back in 2019, my whole name not just my first. I haven't had an electricity bill under my name since before I changed my name. 9/10 times I get a call telling me that I could have a better electricity provider than the one I currently have. Under my current name. That hasn't had an electricity account for a minimum of 5 and a half years. I had one guy actually start arguing with me about how I HAVE to an electricity account under my name because how else would I have electricity? And every now and again, I get one asking after my dead name. I did have people asking me when that person would be home or if I could put them on the phone until I realised I could tell them that person died years ago, then they hurriedly give their apologies and hang up, I can almost hear the "oh fuck what did I just say?!" when I tell them dead name person died in the deadpan tone of someone who ran out social spoons an hour before the 3rd phone call of the day trying to sell them electricity. Makes me smile in a sad, sadistic kinda way

What if someone say that they are a higher ranking officer to someone and that someone are a major or general and a few days later they meet on a deployment or on the base at home. If I was that major or general I would see to that soldier would do the most boring and hated duties they had. Just to take the soldier down a notch or two!
