Part of the reason these scams are so successful is that people don’t understand that your Social Security number cannot be canceled nor is it needed to rent a car. You do not have to pay money to have access to your social security number nor do you need to reveal how much money you have in your bank account nor do you need to pay anyone any money to prevent a cancellation of your Social Security number. Ignorance on the part of the victim is very helpful for the scammers. Of course the scammers use fear and this makes the victims flustered and unable to think straight.

The Food and Drug Administration is going to listen to your call with DEA or FBI (who knows who they are pretending to be at any given moment?) to determine whether you were honest about how much money you have in the bank? My god these people get stupider every day. The SSA scammers who act like that second guy infuriate me to my core. They act so arrogant and just MEAN, as if they truly believe they have some kind of authority. I really wish that, after he said he'd be happy to "be interrogated" if his name came up in relation to a crime, you'd had a chance to grill the hell out of him for being the real criminal in the conversation. I doubt he'd have been so willing to share after that. Finally, the fact that he clearly understood that he was talking to a police officer and still didn't hesitate for a second to continue with the scam tells me that these scumbags have zero fear of repercussions, zero fear of, or respect for, police. Granted, if I lived in a place as corrupt as the one they live in, I'd probably have no respect for law enforcement either, but it really is shocking to see. There is literally no one on this planet that they wouldn't scam. I even saw a video once where a scammer tried scamming what he thought was a 12 year old kid. Death is too good for these losers.

IRS only records the line for quality purposes. To monitor how the employee did the work and how to improve the skills. They can not use any recording against you in court. Knowledge is a power. Knowing th law with help you to onow your rights.

I got the same call , when he said he was an officer I asked him for his full name and badge number. He said he would give it ro me when he was done. Which I replied no give it to me now and I would call back after I verified his ID. Hehehehe, he what? Do you think this is some kind of scam?! The easiest way to ID whether you are talking to an Indian Scammer is at the end they will talk about money. They are asking all these personal info is they can used those info for different forms of scam or probably sell those info for a good money

On the one hand the victim is worried about his personal credentials if s/he doesn't comply to the scammer. They term this type of victim Prospective Customer or Sale Call

Wouldn't it be funny to be a cop, and you don't say "haven't been to Texas!", you say silently "oh sh*t" on eachanevry accusation, maybe when he says "Toyota" you cut him off: "...
