Most victims I spoke to blamed themselves and that's the worst thing. Imagine them explaining it to their partners. I had to take calls for the bank, and listen (often to older people) debate back and forth what had happened and who was to blame. It was heartbreaking.

I work for a bank, and I tell customers to look out for your channel, so they can learn they aren't alone (they usually feel so foolish) and so they can get an idea of what to look out for and how to combat these maggots. Thank you so much for what you do.

Banks should do that Also stop blaming the customer if they are a victim. I was at my bank and this person was a victim of a scam. They hacked the account and put bad checks in. The bank closes the account and said the customer was responsible for 3600 dollar. I looked at the teller and told them I'm closing my account if you blame the customer I'm going to another bank

I'm one of those "older" (74) year old and although nothing seems to be touched and I put out alerts on all my accounts - I think that idiot is living in my head. My mom sent $7000 to scammers when they told her my son, her grandson, was in jail in another state. He had been driving drunk, was in a car accident and injured a pregnant woman and the baby died. They had my parents terrified. She almost sent them $35,000 more and my dad finally got her to call me. I was able to tell her my son was at work, right down the road. She literally did not believe he wasn’t in jail in another state until he called her from work and told her he was fine. She was devastated for months. Makes me sick. They had “my son” call from jail and she said it was definitely his voice. Crazy.

I'm mainly getting text messages from people from UPS now. I delete and report them to Apple. Thanks for helping us protect ourselves. Pierogi I love all you videos, I’ve been a victim of scammers once was a romance scam and the other was my mum lost $1200 through a lottery scam saying her brother had won the lottery and that she needed to get gift cards to be a part of the lottery and win the same prize money. This was prior to me watching your videos to make her aware that this was a scam, I felt so bad and mum felt awful that she had lost this money. I'm so glad about what you do. I am 58 years old and I receive up to 70 scam calls a day. I have talked to my son who is an IT specialist for a big company and he said he doesn't really know how you do what you do. I am mostly computer illiterate. Your "little old lady" voice cracks me up. You take on what sounds like a Massachusetts accent which makes it both endearing and funny. I used to work for a non-profit, The National Consumers League, which sponsored a fraud-reporting and counseling center. One day I received a call from a couple whose savings account had just been cleaned out by a Nigerian scammer. As you can imagine, they were frantic and were trying to find someone to help them recover the money, something we were not equipped or authorized to do. I still remember the panicked sound in their voices and my feeling of frustration for not being able to help them.
