@@justsomeguy2142 no it’s the law. Banks are not allowed to charge ATM fees for people who are taking out cash from public assistance. They don’t charge the full amount; It’s a 45-cent ghost fee, unadvertised, unlabeled on the receipt.

@@smrk2452 we can get into the semantics of it being a law, but once again….when it comes to businesses and the rich those laws are for the plebs, why is it so hard to hold them accountable, have them reimburse those they stole from, all the while it being as quick as giving an innocent person life in prison for jaywalking? Same way banks can take your money and you have to work on their time as opposed to the citizen needing to take actions so quick or risk fees and legal action. Its not that hard to understand that rules and everything in between is based on your socioeconomic status. Even if i know a police officer theres only so much that officer can do for me but if the mayors son gets a DUI then all he has to do is text or show up at the precinct and poof. Shall i go on? Laws are made to protect the rich, the system that keeps them rich and fuck over the poor, the founding fathers were on their p’s and q’s to ensure white supremacy and for any white person to be set for life in the political manosphere thats why judges and other positions are for life and even when those old white senile folks cant do their job they still can keep it

I just happened to me last week. I got my stamps, used it the next day spending only $80. The next day I went to the store to get a few more things and my card kept getting denied. I told the lady at the register that I just got my stamps and that I should have money on my card. She said I was scammed. I didn't know anything about the food stamp scam going on. They took over $200. Now I have to wait for a new card and my refund. I'm over here hungry because I don't have no money to get food. I also feel like this is an inside job. When you make a purchase, it tells you where you made the purchase. These transactions don't have anything but a bunch of numbers. My card go hit twice on the same day within a minute of each transaction. First time was $100+ and then came back for the rest. How they going to know how much money is on your card unless it's the one that's supplying the funds that's taking it. I feel like it's the government doing it. Doesn't make any sense.

I just got my benefits stolen yesterday. Going through a hard time now and stressed. That’s my food for the entire month. My water and everything. I’m headed to the office right now to fill out the paperwork to get my new card today. They said I am getting my money back but might take a month😢. I hope I somehow get it back today or at least way soon. I have about 15 bottles of water left and 6 ramans and 2 cans of corn. It’s ruff. But what you said abt the balance thing, so all they need is the last 4 digits to call and get a ent balance and they even hear when the funds will be posted on your day. They need to change things because this is mest up. We can’t understand how they got the PIN number but maybe they didn’t need it.. mine was used at WM and food lion. At those places you can do curbside pickup and when you pay you don’t need a PIN number, just the card numbers. My small area was hit starting 2 months ago. They said around 200 people in the same boat as me. I don’t think it’s the government because they’re the ones loosing the money and the ones re instating the money to us. Now and for almost a year it’s federal law that they have to give us are stolen funds back. I at least feel lucky that I don’t have kids, I just had a motorcycle accident a few years ago and had my foot amputated so I’ve been unable to work. This is the lowest of lows stealing from the poor and disabled

Chips are not any safer. I never had any money stolen from my bank account until after my back switched to the cards with chips. I believe some of the skimming is also being done with remote devices.

It's a grand larceny charge and they all need to get police report to have people prosecuted and let the police do the foot work . It happened to me the last 2 months. I was told my funds for last month was used in NY and I live in TX. I never got to use my replacement card. This months funds were taken as soon as the card was loaded. So I got the card and never used it, so it would have to be someone within the company that has access to our information right?

I agree 1000%!!!! I've been saying that because it's mighty funny that the funds are being taken as soon as the funds are being loaded onto the card!!! They said it is due to something being on the scanner but I think that's a lie. I think it's definitely an inside job!!!!!!

Is way better to shop online because you don't have to swipe your card. all you have to do is add your EBT card number on your Amazon account. But When you swipe your EBT card at the store that's how you get scammed because the card machine takes your EBT information
