@@hughmann1908 I don't disagree, but to me he always comes off pretty arrogant. I obviously don't know him personally.

I love the podcast, but I just wanted to mention that scams are such a consistent topic in car content. Why is it that seemingly no one in cars knows how to run an honest business, or in the big ventures at least? What do you think are some factors that could be causing this, and what could be some solutions?

For scams to work, the targets have to be extremely dumb, and there also needs to be little regulation that interferes with scam potential. The auto industry just so happens to sell to a lot of the general public, which, let's face it, a lot of them don't know any better. Pair that with the auto industry not having as much regulation as say, real estate or banking/lending, it's EASY to start up a business that preys on people's wallets.

If is puzzling why so many businesses are so successful that never make money. Isn’t that the whole point? Really good story teller CEOs and stupid investors

Like him or not, Dan NGSC has approx 5 times to subscribers as you do, so yeah people know who he is. And, what you are missing is Art made all kinds of shitty deals to get either capital or free services from people so the contract with commission per conversation sounds right in line. Whether it makes sense or not, that is the type of shit Art did all over.
